The race is now officially completely, mind-blowingly wide freakin’ open. The space between 1st and 5th is not that much, it could move in a week to be a completely different order.
Huckster and Rudy alas are both the wrong candidate, bipolar opposites in that neither unifies the party on a fiscal *and* social conservative basis.

Fred Thompson and Mitt Romney would better fit the whole GOP base, and primary voters are going to have to sort it out before we end up with what is in my mind a worst-of-all-worlds scenario .... Rudy/Huckabee.

What I’ve been hoping for. I think more people are now paying attention to the primary candidates, and many don’t like what they see in the poll leaders to now.
More shifting as the voters really examine the candidates and review their positions on key issues.
The two worst at the top...........sheesh!
As people are finding out the truth instead of the myth Rudy is dropping like a stone. Hopefully, the same will happen to the Huckster.

Once you see Hunter and Tancredo drop out (and I am a big Hunter fan-as is Bennett and Coulter) Fred will pick up a point or two to close the gap. The Huckster won’t survive the sunlight. It’s Fred’s to lose. I thought it would come down to Fred vs. Rudy, but Rudy is getting banged up badly. He won’t make it.
