On the news this morning they showed President Bush boarding Air Force One to travel to Omaha. How close was his destination in Omaha to the mall where the shooting took place?
I thought that I heard FNC say that police were covering Bush, when this happened and some of the police were called to cover the mall.
My guess is that Bush landed at Offut Air Base which is no where near Westroads Mall. I grew up near Omaha and lived there for 10 years.
Offut is the site of the Strategic Air Command. TONS of security there...don’t worry!
