>>I am proud to say that I am one of the 150,000. I’ll bet that many Freepers are.

Count me in. I gave 1.5X to the Swifties, what I gave to Bush Campaign.

I’ve been around, lurking when I have the down time - but not always up to responding..

I meant to add to my previous note — a REMINDER that McCain was FIRMLY inside the “Cover Kerry’s Ass” perimeter when the SBVFT were firing for effect on Kerry...
McCain also made a couple of UNFORGIVABLE snide remarks about the SBVFT..

I’ll NEVER forgive him for that......
He chose sides, he chose poorly.....again.

Thanks for the ping. I can recall McCain calling the SBVFT as "dishonest and dishonorable." And Bush called for the banning of all 501[c]s, including the SBVFT.

There is no doubt that the SBVFT were the decisive factor in 2004 that defeated Kerry. They exposed the extreme bias of the MSM and Kerry's feet of clay. Until this very day the MSM continues its perpetuation of their distortion of the truth. The MSM has made "swiftboating" a pejorative term, but the truth is that it should be a badge of honor.

Well said. I contributed three times as well as afterwards to deal with the lawsuits filed by Kerry against them. This was a victory of the people, by the people, for the people.

Roger that.

McCain got a pass because of his POW status.....but then joined Kerry in negotiations with the Lao Dong party....his former captors. I don't buy McCain's war veteran/POW status anymore.

In SERE, we were told it would go very hard and advised to tough it out. Seems McCain missed that class.

“The senior staff believes the media is committed to seeing us win this thing…”) and how they were foiled (Kerry partisan Susan Estrich admitted “they’re shell-shocked” at the implosion of Kerry’s mythical self-glorification).

I attended the event as well. As a former naval officer and Vietnam vet who actually served a full year in-country, I found the event to be inspiring and uplifting.

[HSU booting!]

Lol, went right with the Kerry graphic. I really think we call it “boot kicking” down here but I had to adapt!

The MSM and the Democrats are on a determined campaign to render the terms "Swiftboat" and "Swiftboating" into pejoratives. Their intended implication is that the "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth" used lies and ad hominem attack tactics to impugn the honesty of John Kerry. They would like nothing less than to see "Swiftboat" be lowercased to "swiftboat" and have it join the English language as a pejorative term along with quisling and gerrymander. Take a look at the Wikipedia entry for "swiftboating" and you'll see what I am writing about.

This is silly, I know, but...

I turned 57 in 2004. I had told many people that I was going to change my name to Heinz, for that year of my life. Heinz 57, you know.

Well, then John Heinz-Kerry hit the fan. I changed my mind. Now, as far as I’m concerned, Heinz represents blood spilled by warriors while Congress played games, just as Congress is doing now.

Sounds like a good book, but why now? John Kerry isn’t running for President any more than GWB is. We criticize the Democrats for running against GWB.

But, there’s someone else who knows more about the 2004 Revolt, Scott Swett. I learned much about the Revolt from this book that even I didn’t know. So will you.

Well deserved praise.

I.T. Did an absolutely incredible job on this book. Mr. Kesler appropriately notes Scott's encyclopedic knowledge of this topic.

Regards,

TS
