Just like that! Wow! They pass legislation, problem solved, run home and tell the voters how they accomplished something “meaningful”. And the voters now know why they are out of work and the economy is tanking. Just like the boat builders when the demos passed a soak the rich tax.

I vote we start the stance against global warming by refusing to pay to fuel these Senators' limos, jets, SUV's, family vehicles, and global hops "for the country".

Start THERE Senators - lead by example - and no carbon credit payoffs to Algore and the Demonrat party allowed.

2012 - that’s when the Aztec calendar says the world ends. So, the world doesn’t end with a bang, it ends when the lights go out because to meet the CO2 goals the Dims turn off the power plants.

Can you imagine if the Dems, the socialist pacifists win the Presidency and the Congress, thus appointing 3-4 SCOTUS jurists? Socialism will replace capitalism and libery in a matter of 8 years.

The vote was 11-8 largely along party lines. Do the Pubbies have enough votes to filibuster?

This bill is cowardly.

We couldn’t build nuke plants fast enough to make this a reality.

How do you cut CO2 emmisions without cutting combustion? I’m an engineer but can’t figure it out. CO2 is a result of complete combustion (whereas other pollutants like NOx or SOx are a result of other factors).

Combustion in its simplest format is:

CH4 + 2 O2 = Energy + 2H2O + CO2

The only way to cut CO2 is to turn off the factories and power plants. The only primary power generation facility that doesn’t use CO2 is nuclear. Do the Dems want more nuclear?

The Dems know Bush will veto, so it is something they are doing in order to grandstand.

The Scream is perfect. Frankly, I don’t trust any ,any Dem to lead this nation. As a movie sketch once said, I don’t like you because you are going to get me killed.
