The SKS is a Russian semi-automatic carbine, designed in 1945 by Sergei Gavrilovich Simonov. The SKS is not, nor has it ever been, “a variant of a fully automatic gun.”

Yep. Wish the general public knew the definition of an assault rifle. Way too much confusion out there.

Assault Rifle — Characterized by the following: intermediate cartridge and select fire (i.e. a switch to select semi-auto or full-auto or burst mode).

Frankly, I don’t care if he used a machine gun. I’m tired of having my God-given rights called into question whenever some nutcase kills people.
