Im not sure what youre asking here. Would you please explain?

If it's so 'obscure', then ~Why would the TEMPLE LOT group actually own the TEMPLE LOT??~

~Will you answer post 750 or not?~ No, Im sure youve had that discussion with Mormons before, so you know the answer.
Good for you, Mr. T!!
He just trying to trick you, for he KNOWS there are places that have recorded our Beloved Founder saying things like that, yet WE don't consider them 'scripture' 'cause there's OTHER stuff there that can make us look really dumb!

Usually when one says two things are the same, thats what they mean. Good to know we are in agreement that the comparison was faulty.

LDS leaders say that they consider "apostles" and "prophets" are interchangeable. Yeah, and ALL of their 'beliefs' are up for grabs, for they are just salivating - waiting for another "Word of the Lord" to come down from the mountain!

All your other descriptions of Him are man-made dogmas derived from scripture, but not necessarily faithful to it. All LDS descriptions of Him are dogmas derived from the Book of Mormon, the Pearl of Great Price, Doctrines and Covenants, and various other writings that are not considered 'scripture' by headquarters.

You know, the more the Mormons talk and explain the difference between the doctrines of the Christian church and the doctrines of the Mormon church, the more obvious it becomes to the viewer that these doctrines are completely different.SHHH!
(That's why we keep them on the line; talking. Be careful or they'll get wise to our tactics.)

What we do teach is faith in and discipleship of Christ. Personally, it continues to boggle my mind how this alone is insufficient in the minds of some Christians to be granted a seat at the table of the Christian community.Let me build a strawman then...
Last night, at church, we had our annual Christmastime church get together dinner.
The ladies brought in their very best examples of all kinds of goodies and treats.
We had a wonderful time!
Now consider, if you would, that as we get to the end of the serving line, we find, to our horror, that someone, with all good intentions of course, has plopped a big, steamy cow pie at the end of the pastry table.
Do you think folks' appetites who be quite the same as if that had not been placed there?
The previous stuff is still good - the decorations are just as lovely - the fellowship is just as sweet; but; somehow, something is very different.

We do not teach much of mainstream Christian doctrine, because we believe much of it to be false.Oh??
Just WHAT is 'wrong' and WHY is it 'wrong'?

It strikes me upon reflection that such people place more emphasis on their doctrine of Christ than on Christ Himself; that their dogmas have become a god to them to be given more importance than Christ Himself.Oh my goodness!
You actually WROTE this???

17 It no sooner appeared than I found myself delivered from the enemy which held me bound. When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the otherThis is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!
18 My object in going to inquire of the Lord was to know which of all the sects was right, that I might know which to join. No sooner, therefore, did I get possession of myself, so as to be able to speak, than I asked the Personages who stood above me in the light, which of all the sects was right (for at this time it had never entered into my heart that all were wrong)and which I should join.
19 I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong; and the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt; that: they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof.
20 He again forbade me to join with any of them; and many other things did he say unto me, which I cannot write at this time. When I came to myself again, I found myself lying on my back, looking up into heaven. When the light had departed, I had no strength; but soon recovering in some degree, I went home. And as I leaned up to the fireplace, mother inquired what the matter was. I replied, Never mind, all is wellI am well enough off. I then said to my mother, I have learned for myself that Presbyterianism is not true.

Your convolutions in describing what you think are points of LDS doctrine are still the most amusing thing on FR.
I get a great laugh out of you, you know.
You should contact Jay Leno, since I understand his regular comedy writers are on strike!

The Mormon teachings only came about about 150 (plus or so) years ago. And, they can STILL come at any time, for only WE have a Living Prophet®!

~Now, the Christian worldview ... is *exclusionary* meaning that it excludes *all other worldviews* as totally invalid and not worthy of any title other than deception or delusion.~ Hmmm... thats a very extreme position to take. ~Now, the MORMON worldview ... is *exclusionary* meaning that it excludes *all others that CALL THEMSELVES MORMON* as totally invalid and not worthy of any title other than deception or delusion.~

It was a GREAT speech, and unfortunately, it had to be delivered, given the mental straight jacket so many individuals have about this issue.
