~”If you refuse Mormon baptism for the dead, after you die, will you gain the Celestial Kingdom?”~
Of course not. You would be rejecting the truth and refusing an ordinance necessary for reaching that goal. Still, the choice is yours to make.
Repetition of the question isn’t a very good explanation. Please clarify what you mean. Who is the “temple lot group?”
~”Why do YOU believe that the Presbyterians are not true?”~
For the same reason I reject other denominations of Christianity. They have strayed from the fullness of the Gospel of Christ. I prefer to embrace the full truth, rather than shards of it.
I thought that point was pretty clear? Why do you keep asking it?
To continue with the analogy, I’m grateful that Jesus Christ commissioned Joseph Smith to remove the cow pie.
We had our Christmas party on Saturday. Like yours, we also had a wonderful time. It’s good, at least, that we can agree on something.
~”Just WHAT is ‘wrong’ and WHY is it ‘wrong’?”~
OK, one example: the doctrine of the Trinity, because it is a man-made derivative doctrine agreed upon by council, and not in tune with scripture. It obfuscates the nature of God and also our relationship with Him.
Why? We did not make a speech. We have not even cast a vote yet. How can it reflect poorly on us?
Evangelicals are not good pluralists (GWB not withstanding). We don't think that Islam is a "Religion of Peace" for instance. We don't think that Mormonism, is Christianity as Mormons deceptively insist. And we don't think that all "Faiths" the pluralist euphemism for religion or belief, are equal. In fact, I am offended when anyone calls Christianity a "Faith" because the nominal equation of Christianity with other religions is a denial of the central claim of Christianity which is that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life and that no one goes to the Father but through Him. Whenever a politician uses the term "Faith", I am instantly turned off, as I suspect many other true and thoughtful evangelicals are. Now the heart of any King is in the hands of God, even if he really only worships himself, as so many have throughout history, so praying if always more important than voting. But thank God that we have a chance to vote, because a man whose King is Jesus, and who does not believe in his own eventual godhood, cannot worship himself.
Note to Huckabee, Hunter and Thompson, please don't use the precious word "faith" under it's newest, most diabolical definition.
Just want to reiterate tantiboh's post. Mormons do not believe you can get the the level of the Kingdom of God, where God resides without Mormon Baptism.
From LDS.org
Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, all people will be resurrected. After we are resurrected, we will stand before the Lord to be judged according to our desires and actions. Each of us will accordingly receive an eternal dwelling place in a specific kingdom of glory. .....
Additional Information
There are three kingdoms of glory: the celestial kingdom, the terrestrial kingdom, and the telestial kingdom. The glory we inherit will depend on the depth of our conversion, expressed by our obedience to the Lord's commandments. It will depend on the manner in which we have "received the testimony of Jesus" (D&C 76:51; see also D&C 76:74, 79, 101).
Celestial Kingdom
The celestial kingdom is the highest of the three kingdoms of glory. Those in this kingdom will dwell forever in the presence of God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ.
______________
This means that everyone except Mormons will be in a heavenly realm removed from Christ and God (Separate Beings).
I ask you, dear reader, is this a "Christian" belief. Mormons believe that Christ died to save everyone regardless of there sinfulness or recognition of Christ as their Savior. Almost everyone will be "saved" to a place That is in eternal separation from God. The Bible describes eternal separation from God as "Hell." Therefore Mormons are condemning everyone to Hell except those who accept the Mormon Babtism. It is perfectly clear.
So Mormons have even changed the definition of hell to become a degree of glory.
Like the Holy Bible? You left that out. Was that a sin of omission or commission?
She will answer nothing. Probably does not know.
Why? We did not make a speech. We have not even cast a vote yet. How can it reflect poorly on us?
Excellent point. There is a LOT of wishful thinking by Romney supporters for a "backlash" in favor of Mitt.
While "before Mitt" they would rail against the PC media attitudes, NOW they are joining in with the Sharpton/Jackson crowd in the "bigotry" mantra. They are hoping that the MSM will lead that backlash in Mitt's favor.
It's hard to imagine how these Mitt supporters can expect the MSM to favor him in the general election....boggles the mind.
E> Oh?
Yah'shua is Hebrew for YHvH is become my salvation.
YHvH means I was, I am and I will always be.Jesus is from an English corruption of the Greek corruption
b'SHEM Yah'shua
of the name Yah'shua in Hebrew. Exodus 15:2 "YHvH is my strength and song,
There is only ONE Elohim and the Holy Name He gave to Moses was YHvH.
And He has become my salvation;
This is my God,
and I will praise Him;
My father's God, and I will extol Him.
Psalm 118:14 YHvH is my strength and song,
And He has become my salvation.
Isaiah 12:2 "Behold, Elohim is my salvation,
I will trust and not be afraid;
For YAH YHvH is my strength and song,
And He has become my salvation."
You CC call it "Mormon Baptism" for the dead.
The LDS believe "baptism for the dead" is one of the restored ordinances of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In case no one has answered you, the answer is yes. If you want a humorous and factual look at it, check out this episode of South Park, titled "All About the Mormons."

So Mormons have even changed the definition of hell to become a degree of glory.
Mostly true. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on this one that you didn't understand it completely as it is one of the harder things in the LDS religion to grasp. I'm not sure if I even understand fully.
There are three "glories". The Terrestrial, Telestial, and Celestial Kingdom. These glories are talked about in 1 Corinthians. None of these three glories are eternally seperated from God and Jesus as both would visit the two lower glories, but souls in the terrestial and telestial do not get to visit the Celestial.
If you are "saved" or if you never learned about Christ you go to one of the three glories.
The part you are missing is the "hell" in the LDS religion, what many call "outer darkness". I just call it hell. This is what other religions think of hell. It is eternally seperated from God and Jesus. To get here you pretty much have to flat deny or reject God and Jesus, this rejection can happen after death as well.
Yea should have been more Christlike, you’re correct. Let me rewrite it using Christ’s verbage...

(It was the first one)
It's the differences that separate us.
I thought that point was pretty clear? Why do you keep asking it?
Because it is NOT clear!
What do you MEAN by: "the fullness of the Gospel"?
But independant investigaters have been called, and they have discovered JS' fingerprints in the crust!
But Mormons say that this is no problem!
Merely having a differing VIEW of who Christ is should be no barrier to being called Christian is what they say, so how could JS claim that it is wrong and not only wrong; but an ABOMINATION?
