Many of us agree, but it will never happen with the MSM that still exists. When we as a nation failed to try Kerry, Fonda, Kennedy and other traitors during the Nam years, the MSM set up a powerful hate America base. Over 200 sheikhs of Iraqi tribes issued, on December 6, a communiqué condemning “the terrorist presence of the Iranian regime and of its collaborators in Iraq” and calling for Iran’s embassy and consulates in Iraq to be shut down.

Conversely, the leaders expressed support for the presence of the Iranian opposition organization Mojahideen-e-Khalq in Iraq, “as punishment for the Iranian regime that is exporting terrorism and radicalism to Iraq.”

The leaders also expressed support for a petition signed by over 300,000 Shi’ites in southern Iraq condemning Iranian intervention in Iraq and accusing the Iranian government of “fanning the flames of inter-ethnic violence that has caused the death of tens of thousands of Iraqis... and the uprooting of four million people.”

This NIE report reminds a lot of the Iraq Study Group report (Baker report), a lot of media buzz and delusional analysis by the media pundits about its impact on President Bush policy but in reality it will end up in the garbage basket of the oval office as the ISG report did. President Bush will do what is right against the Iranian terrorist regime nuclear program as he has been doing what is right to lead us into Victory in Iraq.

It is nothing but another hit piece against our president, our military, America, Israel, and the newly free people of Iraq.

Israel should consider those, who are responsible for this report to be enemies of Israel, wanting Israel destroyed by Iran or one of its insane prozies.

This is to be taken in Meta Language. We are dealing with the system of intelligence reporting.

The current NIE is not a reliable estimate of Iranian status or intent. I can't remember when an NIE made the news over the years since the speech given by Colin Powell before the UN. This one made headlines in the MSM a week after it was issued and as such leaves little doubt of its politically subversive nature towards the Bush administration and our efforts in the Mid East region. Since the hard skinny can never be made available to any but a few, a politically charged analysis squeaks by into the public eye, an assumption made by the initiators, who work at State, of the report is taken as fact.

For those of us that have served, recall the prohibitions against writing assumptions or prejudices into reports.....and the consequences for such actions. We would stand before the Mast.

In this age of politically charged animosity towards efforts to proscribe hostile intent and prevent its capabilities for threat, the authors of this report have failed in their professional duties, chosen to counter policy and have been subverted by a political ideology. Whether for their actions or ineptitude, they should be dismissed.
