Admiral Michael Mullen will land in Israel Sunday morning for a 24-hour visit that will include a one-on-one meeting with IDF Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi, as well as with Defense Minister Ehud Barak.

Mullen’s visit to Israel will be exactly a week after the publication of the NIE report that claimed Iran had frozen its nuclear military program in 2003 and has yet to restart it. During his visit, Military Intelligence plans to present him with Israel’s evidence that Iran is in fact developing nuclear weapons.

The wheels are coming off Harry's intentional attempt to assist Iran and derail GW.

Of all the countries out there with an intelligence-gathering service, I have to believe that Israel would know (more than the others) whether Iran is building a nuclear weapon.

The fate of their nation hinges on how accurate they need to be - as opposed to individuals who put the NIE together and may have an agenda.

I would venture to guess that Admiral Mullen is going to get an earful.

And there is this:

Plame Dives Into NIE Debate - Notes Fitzgerald Aiding Waxman Witch Hunt - Coincidence?

*************************EXCERPT***************************

Addendum: Clarice Feldman and I have been bantering in emails over this connection between Plame and the authors of this NIE and one topic I wanted to emphasize was the timing of this phone call right before her speech that Fitzgerald and Waxman were colluding on some dirt on Bush and Cheney. First off, the phone call (from an attorney I would note) was not giving the news, it was permission to leak the news.

Plame is a creature of DC and the CIA. She would NEVER leak controversial information about a federal prosecutor and a sitting congressman without checking it out and making sure it would not come back to bite her. That kind of mentality has been drilled into her by her many years at the CIA. Therefore the call was not a tip. It was permission to leak the media news that Waxman, with Fitzgerald’s help, is going to re-open the Plame Game in Congress. Which is might convenient timing with the NIE on Iran coming out - and could help divert attention from the authors and herself! How convenient! - end addendum

Looks like I may have been onto something when I noted the NIE authors had links to Valerie Plame.

The problem with the modern media age is the choreography required to put on a major media event takes so much time and effort that well timed media events around breaking news - like the latest NIE on Iran - become quickly suspect as part of the choreography. They staging of political debate is becoming quite apparent on 2008, with CNN’s facade ripped apart with the GOP debate.

Let’s assume a famous ex-CIA agent - one woefully wrong by the President when she was exposed by her big mouthed husband - wanted to run for elected office? She would give speeches of course to test the waters. But how is it one of these speeches would be coincidentally scheduled for perfect timing with the release of an NIE by her old coworkers?

Oops. Enemies of the Adminstration didn’t think ahead to that, did they? Now there is a white-hot spotlight on the issue of Iran, and most people didn’t buy the report anyway.

I don’t know if this was strategery or not, but if it was, wow! How elegant!

Amazing and scary stuff, these liberals.

Worse than that. The are rabid and so plagued with hate that there main objective is to gain power over all three branches of government and rule as corrupt socialists. Hopefully Americans will stop pulling punches.

There is a book about them.

A Must Read:
Unholy Alliance :
Radical Islam and the American Left (Hardcover)
by David Horowitz
**************************************
Vastly Illuminating, September 25, 2004
Reviewer:
Kat Bakhu (Albuquerque, NM United States) - See all my reviews

I had long wondered why people on the Left had the propensity to speak more positively about people who would slit their throats than they do about their own country, which affords them more freedom and opportunity than anywhere else. David Horowitz has answered that question thoroughly and convincingly in his Unholy Alliance. Where I felt bewildered and confused, I now feel crystal clear. Unholy Alliance is such a great book.

It begins with the leftist movements at the beginning of the 20th Century, and works its way up to the present day, exploring the anti-American attitude of these movements in detail. Horowitz shows that the enemies of the US back then are largely the same group today, operating under the same misperceptions, making the same mistakes, and pursuing the same impossible utopia.

Individual chapters are included on the Patriot Act (I was persuaded that it is a GOOD thing); the democratic flip-flop on Iraq once G.W. Bush implemented what they agreed with Clinton needed to be done; the driving components of the current anti-war movement; as well as chapters on individual personalities who are major spokespeople of the Left. Horowitz covers a lot of ground, and he covers it concisely and clearly. Unholy Alliance is richly informative without ever being boring or plodding.

This book is so illuminating that I simply cannot do justice to it here. I love people who reason so clearly that they help me get my own reasoning clear. Horowitz is just that type of person! In the terrain of mindless clichés (no-blood-for-oil, etc.), he is a breath of real fresh air.

This anti-Bush NIE report will end up being a big media buzz with zero effect on President Bush policy toward the terrorist regime in Iran. It is very similar to that idiotic report by the Iraq Study Group last year, too much media buzz, the President was polite about his take on it, but eventually threw it in the garbage basket where it belongs.

Most pundits are saying that there is no way President Bush is going to attack Iran after this NIE report. As usual, most pundits end up being wrong. The President has always said that Iran must stop enriching uranium which is the most important step to build a nuclear weapon. He repeated the same things many times in the last few days after the NIE report was released just to tell Iran and the world that nothing has changed.

I am certain that President Bush will launch a major Air and Naval campaign against the Iranian terrorist regime nuclear facilities and military infrastructure if Iran will not stop enriching uranium by mid 2008. Most probably the war will be directly after the 2008 elections, and yes the President can do whatever he wants until his last second in office, there is no Lame Duck President unless a President chooses to be so, I am certain that President Bush will never be a lame duck.

The lefties in State and the CIA might be getting some house calls by Mossad agents if the money trails from Iran shows up in their off shore accounts.

Their hatred of President Bush could get a lot of Israelis and Americans killed via this NIE bs.

Liberal lies re Nam/Tet and other SE Asia bs resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousand innocents.

Israel will not allow that to happen!
