Huckabee wanted Dumond to go free. The only question was by parole or pardon. Even the Huckster eventually admitted that!

Thank you. Huckabee's lead will be short lived once the American people know more about him. Illegal Immigration is the #1 Hottest issue. As Arkanssas goes, so goes Huckabee and the Nation.

From KATV: Metro Latino: Mexican Consulate Opening Wednesday

Little Rock (AP) - History will be made in Arkansas Wednesday as the first foreign diplomatic office will be officially opened in Little Rock.

It was October of 2003 when then-governor Mike Huckabee traveled to Mexico City for the first discussion about bringing a Mexican consulate to Arkansas.

Now three-and-a-half years later, the doors to the new office will be opened for business.

Hundreds of city, state, and federal dignitaries from Arkansas and Mexico will fill the new consulate office building for Wednesday's inauguration ceremonies.

(Andres Chao, Mexican Consul) "Just 24 hours, no more than that. We are very happy, very committed with the people of Arkansas. They are help us very much with all the logistics and al the preparations for this day."

Organizers are working around the clock, finishing up the last minute touches to a grand opening that's expected to make those in attendance feel as if they're south of the border.

(Liliana Olea, Inauguration Coordinator) "Whoever will come will get a great exposure to the Mexican culture in regards to the food and the entertainment, we're bringing in a ballet folklorico, a Mariachi band, a trio. And I think people will just get a sense of what the Mexican culture is. When they come they will definitely enjoy it."

Paid for by the Mexican federal government, the consulate office is expected to benefit the Mexican nationals living in Arkansas, Mississippi, eastern Oklahoma and west Tennessee. It’s an area that is already seeing some of the fastest growing Hispanic communities in the country.

(Olea) "The Arkansas community will become very diverse in the next few years and overall the consulate plays a big role in terms of serving the citizens, serving the community of Arkansas and bringing both bridges together and becoming one."

snip...Thanks Senior Huckabee

I know who nominates Supreme Court Justices and that's why Carter, being an evangelical Christian, would nominate the most constitutionally sound nominee of any of the other candidates.

Fixed it for you.

Bad thinking on your part.

I'd also point out he wants amnesty for all illegals, based on his comments today. Not exactly a law and order type, is he?

If the GOP didn't get a message from it's base that we want NO PART of Bushs comprehensive immigration reform, aka, amnesty, they are committing political suicide even looking at the Huckster twice.

He has no experience that would qualify him to lead this Nation as our Commander In Chief. That thought, terrifies me. We'll long for the days of George Bush if Mike gets elected.

Hmmm...more compassionate & pro-amnesty than GWB, but without the honesty and he’s squishy on the GWOT. So if you beef up the things I hate about GWB, and subtract the things I admire, you get Huckabee.

I can hardly wait.

Since you put it that way, we are going to get a Jackass disguised as an Elephant.

Shudder...

He’s using the silver buckle on his bible to flash light in your eyes and blind you. Meanwhile, he’s siding with the dems on all issues that matter, and planning to raise your taxes. These are dark days indeed, when a “man of god” is leading otherwise good people on a Long March towards Socialism.

Yeah, so much better to follow a liar with dazzle than to pay attention to all those boring policy initiatives.

You and I both know that “serious policy initiatives” alone cannot win an election. Fred’s floundering campaign is proof of that.

A polster expert told me it would take about 10 days from Romney’s speech to give him a bounce, if he was going to get it.
