FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Former Gov. Mike Huckabee, R-Ark., and Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.Are some seeing this as the possible lineup after the convention? (What a sickening thought, hey?)
I think I’d rather watch Biden than Rockefeller and Hagel.
Jon Cusack on “This Week”?
Any idea what he’s gonna talk about?
1.Oprah shines for Obama...
2.Clinton Women hit the campaign trail...
3.Huckabee says AIDS victims should be isolated....
So much for "fair and balanced" for some strange reason they couldn't find any GOP candidates campaigning yesterday to report on?
*Headlines are not verbatim but you get the idea.
Good morning, everybody.
Well, folks, I’m going to be perfectly blunt about this: this, quite frankly, is one of the worst lineups I’ve seen in a long time.
On CBS, Face the Nation never fails to disappoint with its selection of one Democrat (Jay Rockefeller, and remember folks, people like the Rockefellers used to be the face of the GOP) and one of the worst RINOs in the Senate (and there are tons), Chuck Hagel.
ABC offers us Joe Biden, and I’m not sure whether or not this is to fill their quota of featuring each Presidential candidate or a regular appearance by The Mindless One. (They claim they’re going to get to every candidate, well, Iowa’s coming up in less than 4 weeks now and I don’t think they’re even close.
NBC continues its series of the Republican candidates with an interview with Rudy Giuliani. Rudy has dirt, and plenty of it, and if there’s one thing the Big Tub o’Goo likes to dig up it’s dirt, especially on Republicans. But hey, it’s Bills-Dolphins week, so Timmy may be in a good mood. We’ll see.
CNN offers us the most balanced lineup of the morning with President/retired General Pervez Musharraf discussing global affairs and Feinstein and Boehner covering domestic issues.
Most disappointing of all, however, is FOX, who, only three weeks after the last interview Fox gave him, offers yet another helping of Mike Huckabee. Given how weak he gets when pressed on the issues, I guess we could say that Fox is stuck on stupid. Also prominently featured this week is John McCain.
Ratings coming up...
Looks like an interesting morning,I cant wait to hear about what a strong supporter of a border fence the Huckester is,he probably cant wiggle out of that one any time soon, and it is his Achilles heel.
great day in the south here hope everyone is ready for a big thread.
Seems the author of the infamous Rockefeller memo outlining the Democrat Senators plans to politicize the Intelligence gathering process is still playing his old game.
Considering how the template for these Sunday shows are set early in the week, and the CIA tape story did not break until Friday, it appears See-BS is up to it's old tricks of coordinating it "news" coverage with the Democrats dirty tricks squad.
Just what did See-BS know and when did they know it? Just how politically corrupted have the Democrat Leadership, and their Junk Media minions become?

Rockefeller: Actually, I Just Found Out About the Destroyed Torture-Tapes Yesterday
Really a waste of time today. About the only person worth hearing today is Boehner
NOT Huck again! Yuck!!! Is anyone else sick and tired of St. Mike?
From FReeper Snugs graphics shop, here are last week's winners:

If I read it right, that Newsweek poll that puts Huckabee at 38% had 275 participants.
Is that a normal size polling pool?
Life as I know it, is back to normal .. Joe's Back!
Good Morning All
FNS
Huckabee questioned about illegals. Wallace quotes him from 2006 with ‘a pathway for citizenship’.
Huckabee responds, “I didn’t say what the pathway was....”
Another parser and nuancer?
[Come on, Huck!]
Huckabee on Fox now clarifying his immigration stance. He is now advocating what amounts to be a touchback provision that will take days and weeks not years. This is a scam similar to the Pence plan. It is amnesty.
Thanks for the thread as always
Oprah
I watched the Obama part on CSPAN yesterday. Obama was dull, lackluster, uninspiring. By the conclusion of his long-winded impromptu rambling, he didn’t even get a standing ovation (from the camera pan right after he concluded).
Morning AB, All....
I just watched Mr. “Aw Shucks” Huckabee and know now that I’m a roll.
First, I spent a couple of hours last night reading and researching this man and what I learning is horrifying.
I speak of that fine rapist and murderer Huckabee got released for God knows what reason although it’s suspect, Wayne DuMond. DuMond went on within six months after his released to rape and smother a mother of six children and he is strongly suspected in another murder.
Two women died horrifically because of this toothy alleged minister who lies so much he makes Bill Clinton look like a piker.
The story of DuMond is riveting. And Huckabee got that man pardoned by the Arkansas parole board don’t let him say not,

Selling pardons, it would turn out, is a fine tradition in Arkansas.
Huckabee pardoned a man who murdered two women in cold blood within six months. If you or I did our job so awfully we’d have been fired, much less run for President. The thought of having the man who let him out of jail being our president makes us little better than Saudis in our disdain of women.
Huckabee is very good at “leveling.” That is, he has the ability to directly communicate with the lower middle and working class audience. He does so without needing to tout some special credentials or abilities. Besides “leveling” he is also adept at dealing with hard and controversial issues.
Case in point, for Huckabee was when he was asked about Romney’s religion. Huckabee replied to the effect he was willing to discuss his own religion but not that of other candidates. A great answer! It fits the common belief (often mistaken) that one should not judge other’s values or beliefs yet affirmed his own. With one sentence or two he countered the lengthy Romney speech on Mormonism. Huckabee has spent a professional lifetime thinking and answering as to his faith and he is a master at working it into his speeches and interviews in a nonthreatening way.
Another boon for Huckabee is he is increasingly corralling the pro-life vote. This vote is a “pennant issue” in that it signifies a host of often unspoken social issues. Presumably, besides his other attributes the Iowans now see him as the pennant bearer on pro-life and other social issues. It will be difficult for other candidates to take this away from him.
All of this is great for Huckabee, but I doubt if he will sell as well in large states and without adequate financing he will remain a question mark to more secular voters.
As far as McCain goes, I was impressed with his sober, thoughtful demeanor. No flashes of anger or petulance! He seems to have reached a feeling state of peace and acceptance and has ceased the hypervigalent approach to political discussions. Better, but too late.
Hypocrite...
