Not enough info.......but on the face of it the husband turned the child back and the wife now needs therapy? Weird.

These “parents” need a swift kick in the ass, not therapy-what about therapy for that poor child who has been rejected by the only family she’s ever known?

My two sons are both adopted. I’ve taught them that if we take in an animal, we are forever responsible for that life. Even if the critter turns out to be a pain in the rear end, we will be faithful to fulfill our obligations.

They usually don’t inspire thoughts of returning the mechandise until about age 13.

A child is not something you discard when it doesn't suit you. Where's the reverence for human life?

It is very sad for the child, perhaps. But we don’t know much bout how she was treated and is it really good for the child to be where she is not wanted?

So judging from the source of the report, this is an Australian diplomat who decides to return unwanted children after seven years?

My bad, ‘European’ the story says...
To: JACKRUSSELL
Why should children and agencies push for adoption if you get to just ‘give them back’ not unlike foster care.

What a scumbucket. That is as low as it gets right there. No, I shouldn’t say that because I’m sure somebody will top it.
One of the engineers where I work took in a foster girl and then threw her back when she became adolescent and “inconvenient” to their lifestyle. This guy’s wife was a real dipstick. Thankfully he has moved on to other pursuits because every time I would happen to see him, my gorge would rise in disgust.

The girl, who speaks English and Cantonese but not Korean, is neither a citizen of her adoptive parents' country nor a Hong Kong resident, so her future in the territory is uncertain. The bolded section kind of tells you all you need to know about their intentions towards this child. They never bothered to get her citizenship with their home country. They're not gonna win any parenthood awards, that's for sure.
To: JACKRUSSELL
That poor thing. She has no recollection of any other parents. Imagine the horror of being “given away” by her parents like that. My heart is breaking for her.

The man and his wife adopted the girl as a four-month-old in Korea...The father should be returned to non-existence.

I wonder what life will be like for the two natural daughters he has. He obvioulsy regards children as disposable.
