Fox News: Romney mailer “is not true”
http://www.eyeon08.com/ ^ | 12/09/2007 | Soren Dayton

Chris Wallace of Fox News Sunday called one of Mitt Romney’s mailers in New Hampshire "not true." Watch the video.

What is Romney’s strategy? Lie about everything through the primary? CNN caught him being dodgy yesterday. But the guy has the money to do it.

I don’t think that the Republican Party wants a guy who spends millions of his own money to spread lies about other Republicans. I just think that the party is more decent than that.

UPDATE: Quote of the day from Rudy Giuliani’s campaign:

"Mitt Romney’s already changed his own position on illegal immigration, so it should come as no surprise that he’s trying to change everybody else’s position as well."

Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, surrounded by chuckling, ecstatic Democrats, signs socialist health care into law.

McCain voted against the amendement.

The amendment that he voted to table? How did he do that?

This new breed of so-called Conservatives would be calling "Ronaldus Magnus" a RINO and you constantly violate the Eleventh commandment he gave the Republican party. Speak no ill of your fellow Republicans.

Ronald Reagan must be spinning in his grave at the words Rudy/Mitt haters spew around here. What a petty bunch of self-righteous, self-appointed, guardians of so-called Conservative thought. You three should be ashamed of yourselves

WTG !!!!!

Right, and you, of course, believe Chris Wallace, because he's infallible.

It's stunning how some Freepers will so uncritically accept Wallace's word as if it were Gospel.

McCain and others voted to table an amendment.

Which means he supported giving social security to illegals. Mitt Romney was right.

Now where is your apology to the Romney campaign?

The amendment that he voted to table?

By tabling the amendment he killed it. It technically was not a vote against it, but it had the same effect.

At the very least, voting to table the Amendment indicates McCain has no problem letting illegals get social security benefits.

The substance of Romney's accusation is quite correct.

“But so far what he says is just about what I think our policy should be.”

I’m with you on that. I been disappointed on how Fred’s performed and, frankly, am surprised at how well Romney, Guiliani and Huckabee have done. Look how quickly Huck rose (and subsequently sank), maybe the same can be said of Fred?

I’ve had an ongoing feud with family; I reluctantly contend that we no longer live in what I would call a “conservative” nation. I know this isn’t particularly well received by many, probably even less so in this forum, but that’s just my take. I ain’t trying to light any fires.

I’m less inclined to see how anyone can dispute this. To me, it would seem that we no longer even have a conservative party??

Yep, that's what I thought....
Not that I like Romney (I emphatically do NOT) but the facts need to be correct.

You conviniently left out whatever half truth you were alluding to. What do you think this is, DailyKos?

and so was Ronald Reagan praising the sitting Republican president whom he challenged for the republican nomination for the presidency?

I wish Fred would come up in the polls so his supporters could get this chip off their shoulder.

Did you hear the news? Fred's dropping out. Dick Wolf offered him a leading role in his new court room drama, Law and Order: Nap Time.

Voting to give illegals the social security when they become legal +
giving them a Z visa that makes them legal on day with no penalties, no restrictions
= giving social security (and all the other state bennies) to illegal aliens.

Why is that so hard for some people to understand?

It's as if Duncan Hunter or Lazy Fred had sent out the mailer, people would be cheering them, but because it's from this Morman guy with the great family photo that pisses of a bunch of Freeper/Ham radio operators whose wives left them and kids won't talk to them anymore, suddenly we have to defend McCain and his amnesty bill.

PS - Sorry if I offended any ham radio operators, but if you are a ham radio operator, you know the type of hams I am talking about.

Mitt Romney is a liar who will do and say anything to get elected.

Concur...not only is he a liar, but a he's a Clintonesque liar, a draft-dodging liar, and unworthy to serve as POTUS.

I don't care about a mailer, a speech, a photo, or if some one is a Mormon.

I care that a Conservative is elected there MB, that is all that matters to me.

Given that, Mitt's not it.

BTW my wife is still with me and the kid is on the way, that is the reason it is so damned important to get a Conservative in the White House.

It is also the reason I don't give a damn about people who talk Conservative and are gullible enough to support a proven moderate.

No offense.

Yeah, and McCain is completely honest when he says the Z visa in his Immigration Reform Bill isn’t amnesty.
