My biggest issue is that here in South Texas, I have to carry a murse (as my daughters call my CC bag) because wearing a jacket to conceal a shoulder holster just gets too hot. I have one of the IWB cross-hand-draw holsters, but it just looks like I’m packin’ (and not in the “I’ve got a gun” way). Maybe just a smaller carry piece. I’ve looked at some of the Kel-Tec line, but they really look like peashooters. Any suggestions?

I can get away with a .45 Commnander, but I wear fairly unfashonable outfits, and frequently don't remove my jacket, even indoors [Bianchi X15 shoulder rig beneath- yes I get the *old guy with a shoulder rig jokes from several of my cop pals.*] I'd think a Para-Ordnance Warthog might be an option for you if it works in your hand- for me the Glock 30 is just too wide, though a Glock 36 is a possibility. If they ever apply the *Glock 21 SF* modifications to the Glock 30, I may give one another try.

My favorite sweetie is fond of her Polish P64 in 9mm Makarov, and she cherrily carries a full 6-round mag in the pistol, plus four more in the little side pouches of her purse. And she shoots it a lot, so it obviously works for her.

Glock-27 unless you have very large hands.

Ket-Tec PF-9 is even smaller, but won’t handle +P.

I have a KelTec P32. It may be a “peashooter”, but it’s never not with me because it was too bulky to carry while doing X. You can literally put it in the pocket of running shorts and go running.

Here's something which works like a charm. Nobody will know you're packing. I've been searching for the same reasons and just found this, which I really like.

The tiny Kel-Tecs conceal beautifully, too, for other situations - either on the belt or in a pocket. But I don't think I would have wanted to take one of them to this particular gunfight, or one like it, as a primary weapon. They are handy but (in my experience) with the short sight radius are accurate for about 10-15 yards, max, and not enough stopping power - especially for a guy outfitted like this one was.

Get a Kel-Tec P-11. They now sell the formerly LE only 12 round mags, so I guess it should be called a P-13. If you can live with the long DAO trigger, there is nothing I know of smaller and lighter that gives you 13 nine mm rounds. And 9mm, in modern high velocity HPs, are nothing to sneeze at.

I live in Florida, and I can conceal my P-11 under a loose T-shirt. I use an IWB holster. OWB holsters, for me, sag too far away from the body and print more.

can you find a fanny pack that looks manly and does the job?

Otherwise, you can probably get pc credits for the murse and no one has to be the wiser until you need to ‘bring the heat’.
