I'm pretty sure I've seen a blog entry that said Fox News would carry a live feed of the Des Moines Register debate tomorrow (December 12). TVGuide.com still has it listed that way, but I've been unable to find any other confirmation.
Can anyone here reassure me that we'll be able to see firsthand whether Ambassador Keyes critically injures the Giuliani campaign with a single well-placed blow?
Have them both on the same day, same time, same stage. Bunch of cowards that won’t face each other.
Now, watch how the liberals do their post-debate praise of Huckabee in the context of THIS ....

DEMS HOLD FIRE ON HUCKABEE; SEE ‘EASY KILL’ IN GENERAL ELECTION
Tue Dec 11 2007 10:27:53 ET
**Exclusive**
Democrat party officials are avoiding any and all criticism of Republican presidential contender Mike Huckabee, insiders reveal.
The Democratic National Committee has told staffers to hold all fire, until he secures the party’s nomination.
The directive has come down from the highest levels within the party, according to a top source.
Within the DNC, Huckabee is known as the “glass jaw — and they’re just waiting to break it.”
In the last three weeks since Huckabee’s surge kicked in, the DNC hasn’t released a single press release criticizing his rising candidacy.
The last DNC press release critical of Huckabee appeared back on March 2nd.
[DNC Press Release Attack Summary:
Governor Mitt Romney (R-MA) 37% (99 press releases)
Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R-NY) 28% (74)
Senator John McCain (R-AZ) 24% (64)
Senator Fred Thompson (R-TN) 8% (20)
Governor Mike Huckabee 2% (4)]
In fact, as the story broke over the weekend that Huckabee said he wanted to isolate AIDS patients back in 1992, the DNC ignored the opportunity to slam the candidate from the left.
“He’ll easily be their McGovern, an easy kill,” mocked one senior Democrat operative Tuesday morning from Washington.
“His letting out murderers because they shout ‘Jesus’, his wanting to put 300,000 AIDS patients and Magic Johnson into isolation, ain’t even scratching the surface of what we’ve got on him.”
The discipline the Democrats have shown in not engaging Huckabee has earned the praise of one former Republican Party official:
“The Democrats are doing a much better job restraining themselves than the GOP did in 2003 when Howard Dean looked like he was on the brink of winning the nomination.”
The Des Moines Registers presidential debates the last debates before the Iowa caucuses are this week. Republican candidates debate on Wednesday, and Democratic candidates debate on Thursday.
Both debates will be broadcast live at 1 p.m on Iowa Public Television, and replayed on IPTV at 7 p.m. each evening. The debates will also air live on CNN, C-SPAN3, Fox News Channel, C-SPAN Radio and Fox News Radio.
“whether Ambassador Keyes critically injures the Giuliani campaign with a single well-placed blow?”
I get a big picture of that happening. Rudy in drag is more likely to critically injure the Giuliani campaign.
“Rudy in drag is more likely to critically injure the Giuliani campaign.”
Maybe Ambassador Keyes will bring pictures. :-)
“From the Des Moines Register... The debates will also air live on CNN, C-SPAN3, Fox News Channel, C-SPAN Radio and Fox News Radio.”
Thanks. Is that from the print version, and if so, what was the date? I don’t have access to C-SPAN3, and TVGuide.com doesn’t have the debate listed for CNN, so I’m still wondering if there may have been a change of plans.
Is it being shown on an airwave (non-cable) channel (nationally)? PBS? Considering the electorate should be informed, the debates should be on free television.

(*irony on*) Well, thank goodness they’re avoiding any and all criticism. (*irony off*)
The Des Moines Register information is from their website. The article has today’s date.

I didn’t know Keyes was in the debate! Thanks for the heads up. Imagine a Hucklebee/Keyes ticket (not endorsing this, just a ‘what if’ scenerio). Hucklebee leading the audience in prayer at the prez debates, and Keyes tearing the dims a new one in a Vice Presidential debate. They might win on Godieness alone—and no, you can’t use the word Steven Colbert.
Anyway, Keyes will make the GOP debate fire on all cylinders.

I’m not sure why I can’t bring that up through Google, but it’s just what I was looking for. Thanks again.
“Imagine a Hucklebee/Keyes ticket ...”
I’m currently hoping for Huckabee/Hunter, but if it turned out to be Huckabee/Keyes, I could probably support that one too.
“Anyway, Keyes will make the GOP debate fire on all cylinders.”
That’s my prayer. :-)
You cut my quote about “imagine a Hucklebee/Keyes ticket” short. I don’t support it, it’s just an interesting mind game. The GOP has to win in ‘08, and maybe the nominee has to make a surprising and solid VP choice to reach the electoral hurdle. But no, even though I love Keyes I don’t support him for VP in the real world, only because we need to win this one.
“... even though I love Keyes I dont support him for VP in the real world ...”
Sorry if my excerpt suggested you did.
Iowa Debate Quote: Ambassador Keyes on Giuliani
http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1938782/posts
I doubt it. Keyes was horrible. He was talking about things that had nothing to do with the question he was asked. He was clearly off his meds and doubt that people even listened to him after his first rant. I wanted the entire thing and don’t even remember him mentioning Guiliani. He tried to bash Fred at one point...Keyes is clearly an idiot.
“He was talking about things that had nothing to do with the question he was asked... Keyes is clearly an idiot.”
He was talking about things that are more important than the questions he was asked. Ambassador Keyes isn’t an idiot:

Ambassador Keyes isnt an idiot:
OK. Perhaps idiot was not the right word, but he was talking about things that were not part of the debate. If you can’t follow questions asked how in the World could you possibly be President. Can you imagine the discussion in the War Room being discussed was Iran and Keyes goes on his own discussing the economy. That would not be good.
