It should also be noted that some of those that voted against Christmas, voted for Ramadan!
Mike Pence voted “present”?
Why would Pence (R-IN) vote against this resolution and FOR the Ramadan resolution? Inquiring minds want to know.
This may be of interest to your lists...
Hmmm...
Voting for:
Rats = 195
Pubs = 177
That’s interesting.
How many reps voted “Pointless”?
They have now endorsed Christianity as the Federal Religion...
A. This resolution legally states Christmas is a Christian Holiday.
B. Christmas is the only Federal religious Holiday.
C. Christianity is endorsed as the Federal Religion.
if A = B, and B = C, then A = C. They bypassed the Constitution and those who voted “Present” or “No” realized what a stink this was. Had there been a Federal Islamic Holiday or a Federal Jewish Holiday, they would have done the same thing... but there isn’t! Only a Christian Holiday.
“Religious matters are to be separated from the jurisdiction of the state not because they are beneath the interests of the state, but, quite to the contrary, because they are too high and holy and thus are beyond the competence of the state.”
Isaac Backus, Baptist preacher
1773.
