Prolly lucky for the teacher they weren’t singing “Don’t Stand So Close To Me” by the Police...

Welcome to the jungle
We got fun ‘n’ games
We got everything you want
Honey we know the names
We are the people that can find
Whatever you may need
If you got the money honey
We got your disease

Chorus:

In the jungle
Welcome to the jungle
Watch it bring you to your shun n,n,n,n,,n,n,,n,n,n,,n,n,,n knees, knees
I wanna watch you bleed

Welcome to the jungle
We take it day by day
If you want it you’re gonna bleed
But it’s the price you pay
And you’re a very sexy girl
That’s very hard to please
You can taste the bright lights
But you won’t get them for free
In the jungle
Welcome to the jungle
Feel my, my, my serpentine
I, I wanna hear you scream

Welcome to the jungle
It gets worse here everyday
Ya learn ta live like an animal
In the jungle where we play
If you got a hunger for what you see
You’ll take it eventually
You can have anything you want
But you better not take it from me

Chorus

And when you’re high you never
Ever want to come down, so down, so down, so down YEAH!

You know where you are
You’re in the jungle baby
You’re gonna die
In the jungle
Welcome to the jungle
Watch it bring you to your shu n,n,n,,n,n,,n,n,n,,n,n,,n,n,,n knees, knees
In the jungle
Welcome to the jungle
Feel my, my, my serpentine
In the jungle
Welcome to the jungle
Watch it bring you to your shun n,n,n,n,,n,n,,n,n,,n,n,,n.n, knees, knees
In the jungle
Welcome to the jungle
Watch it bring you to your
It’s gonna bring you down!

How about these lyrics? “You’re so vain, you probably think this song is about you, about you”!

Sounds like the makings of a funny little Readers Digest story to me.

A century ago ‘School Days’ would have been enough to do it.

The teenagers were cuffed on the ground for about 15 minutes while police investigated.

On the darker side, what's with the cops always making someone lie face down on the ground? Especially when they are cuffed and no obvious threat?

She would have really been offended if “Big Butted Woman” was played.

Amateurs. Sung correctly, the words are unintelligible.

I wonder if that teacher thought for just one second, “Wouldn’t it be nice if I had a gun for protection?”

I’m sort of amazed these kids even knew who Guns and Roses are/were - I was still in high school when that song came out!

I sing badly. Been asked not to sing anymore, but never had the police called on me.

15 mins? Handcuffed on the floor? Yep, the gestapo has to arrest and restrain anyone they come in contact with immediately. It's for your protection don't ya know.

Back in the early '80s, I was working nightshift security in a building where my partner and I believed ourselves to be the only occupants. I discovered that running the carriage of our electric typwriter to the end and holding down the key made it sound just like a machine gun.

Needless to say, it was a boring night, about 3:00am. We played terrorist attack with machine gun noises and screams into the PA system. I sounded really cool until we heard a door slam and observed a very pale and scared computer operator sprinting down the hallway to the emergency exit.

It took us some very fast talking and a carton of Winstons to keep our jobs that night.

Should have followed it with “Fat Bottomed Girls.”

Talk about someone who is a little tightly wound.

If she had just listened instead of reacting emotionally, she would have easily been able to determine that it was a bunch of kids messing around with the PA system.

On the other hand, it’s a myth that women respond emotionally to threating events. I’ve been told this during my sensitivity training seminar.
