JERUSALEM - In spite of longstanding denials by top officials here, the Israeli government in 2000 agreed to relinquish the Temple Mount - Judaism's holiest site - to the Palestinians during U.S.- backed negotiations, according to declassified documents made public today. The information comes as Prime Minister Ehud Olmert earlier this month denied talks started at November's Annapolis summit would lead to Israel giving up its sovereignty over the Temple Mount, while chief Palestinian negotiators tell WND the Jewish state already agreed to forfeit Judaism's holiest site to a coalition of Arab countries...

Extremely interesting if true, but hard to believe. The Jewish citizens, in Israel and worldwide, would not have stood for it, there would have been an overthrow of Israelie government, and maybe the start of Armor-Geddon-Out-Of-Here.

Impossible to believe due to the source. World Net Daily? Most Freepers are getting more and more desperate to post doom and gloom. WND is not a credible source. CNN is more credible than WND.

Quite frankly, if the Israelis don’t take care of Olmert, they’re finished.

According to the Arab lexicon of the Arab-Israeli conflict, terror does not exist at all on the Palestinian side. The Arab definition of the killing of Israeli citizins by Palestinian terrorists is: “Palestinian freedom fighting.”

As Israeli leaders continue to give away the land, when they get down to a single square inch remaining, the Islamists will cry to the UN and try to take that remaining one square inch.

I’m guessing this is an example of horrid reporting.

The muslim Waqf has maintained administration of the Temple Mount site since Israel captured the Old City during the Six Day War. It was the Israeli government that got non-muslims the right to visit the site, though part of the compromise was that they couldn’t pray on the site.

I’m guessing this is old news simply misunderstood.

No such plan is going to make it through the Knesset. Maybe in 2000 but Israelis today are in no mood for more unilateral withdrawals.

"Is Israel trying to anger GOD?"

It's Israel's leaderless 'leaders', Olmert, Peres and the rest of the appeasement company. If a national election were held today, the crowd in question would be bounced out by the Israeli voting public.

According to the Bible, David paid Arunah for his thresing floor which is the sight of the Temple Mount. So it was bought and paid for at a price as is always true with the things of God including his Son paying for our sins with his blood.
The audacity of the Olmert government that they could give away something so Holy and not tick of God is pretty unreal.
What if God invokes Emminent Domain and retakes his land back, what you going to do them Olmert?LOL.
