Pelosi hits bottom
Washington Times ^ | 12/15/07 | House editorial

Posted on 12/15/2007 2:06:47 AM PST by JohnHuang2

Just when you think the dominant left wing of the Democratic Party has hit rock-bottom, one of their partisans reaches new depths in slandering people who have an honest difference with them on policy. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi hit the gutter on Thursday, when she tried to explain why Democrats are losing the budget war to President Bush. Mrs. Pelosi (who says she hopes to be able to practice a more civil approach next year) said she had misjudged Republican resolve — particularly on the war against jihadists in Iraq.

"They like this war," Mrs. Pelosi said. "They want this war to continue. That was a revelation to me. I had thought they would listen to their constituents and change their position." She later tried to clarify things by saying she had meant to say that Republicans like Mr. Bush's strategy

Wow, she seems really punch-drunk here (or just drunk). In her own way, she seems genuinely stunned and gasping.

The democrats never, ever learn--their arrogance won't allow them to believe that this...this HICK could actually be smarter than any of them! Their arrogance and self-love is repeatedly tripping them up--the one lie about themselves they can't, just can't let go of is the idea that he's actually an intelligent person, and smarter than any of them.

Maybe one of these days they'll realize what those political opponents who actually know Bush have been saying all along, that the idea that he's stupid is the fatal mistake others make over and over.

Lets hope she hasn't hit rock-low-bottom yet.
There isn't much lower she can go; however when she hits bottom the only way from there is up. I don't want to see her move up! ! !

Oh, I thought this story was about some wierd, kinky practice that Pelosi does when she’s back in San Francisco...

""They like this war," Mrs. Pelosi said."

Pelosi is so out of touch. No one likes a war BUT sometimes you have to stick to your position especially where the safety of the USA is concerned.

Another thing, there are military men and women in Iraq that need * our * support both financially and in general.

Various attempts by the Pelosi crowd to cut off funding for the troops is reprehensible.

Convinced that both Pelosi and Reid are clinicly insane and are definitly failures as heads of the Senate and Congress.

I actually watched footage of the press conference. It struck me that this over made up hag looked even older and more worn than usual, she almost appeared shell shocked. I expected drool to drip from the corner of her mouth. Don’t get me wrong, those are all good things. Our Michigan governoratrix is beginning to look that way, also a good thing.

Pelosi is unbelievably vain and stupid. I cannot understand how she could possibly have won a seat in Congress or how she could possibly be Speaker of the House.

I think she follows in the footsteps of many American politicians. As I recall, she both had family money and married even more money.

Vanity and stupidity are required in Congress.

She won her seat in San Francisco.
She supports the homosexual agenda, the teachers union, abortion, govt funding for sex change operations and in general is as loonie as they come.
Pelosi is a perfect fit for someone to lead the Dems.

A more inexperienced and incompetent Speaker we have never had. Jim Wright was an idiot, but he was light years better than this banshee.

Pelosi comes from a prominent Baltimore political family, her father was once mayor, IIRC (corrections welcome)

Damn these communists to hell for all eternity for their petty, partisan, blindered, self-adoring refusal to fund support for our fine military.

Ass wipes, every stinking one of them.

I think the problem for Pelosi is that she has overestimated the strength of her hand. If she honestly believes in ending the war, and believes that is the will of the people, all she has to do is wait out the end of the Bush presidency fund the war for the next year until that point and then craft whatever policy they want if a Democrat is sworn in.

By trying to deny the funding to the war, she makes it an issue that plays against many if not most voters.

Na, once she hits bottom she'll stay there. That where this gutter troll came from, and where she must return to feed off the slime at the bottom.

That is so true. Her biggest problem is that she is listening to the far left of the party - the DU and KOS crowds. Why do you think she and her congress have the lowest rating since that has been tracked? Their approval rating is lower than the president's.
