After this, I don't want to see anyone claim the MSM is helping Huckabee. This story is a cheap shot at anyone running for office. I could care less about anything Huckabee's son has done.

IMHO, it’s not what his son did, but Huckabee’s attempt to cover it up and use his influence to burke the investigation.

It’s not a question of what his son did but whether Huckabee abused his position to get him off, and whether he fired a subordinate for correctly refusing to intervene.

It’s a bit of a he said, she said tale.

“I could care less about anything Huckabee’s son has done.”

Don’t be a dork. It isn’t about his son, it’s about “dad” getting him off...

I could care less about anything Huckabee's son has done.

It's not about what his son did. The following is from the article:

"...John Bailey, then the director of Arkansas's state police, tells NEWSWEEK that Governor Huckabee's chief of staff and personal lawyer both leaned on him to write a letter officially denying the local prosecutor's request. Bailey, a career officer who had been appointed chief by Huckabee's Democratic predecessor, said he viewed the lawyer's intervention as improper and terminated the conversation. Seven months later, he was called into Huckabee's office and fired. "I've lost confidence in your ability to do your job," Bailey says Huckabee told him. One reason Huckabee cited was "I couldn't get you to help me with my son when I had that problem," according to Bailey. "Without question, [Huckabee] was making a conscious attempt to keep the state police from investigating his son," says I. C. Smith, the former FBI chief in Little Rock,..."

The point isn’t about what the kid did—it’s about the attempted cover-up. I care about that!

I sort of agree about not blaming parents, but what about the attempts of Huckabee to put pressure on the police to cover up the crime, misdeed or whatever you want to call it.

I call it a crime and a sick one.

“I could care less about anything Huckabee’s son has done.”

The story is about Huckabee corruptly using his position as Governor to protect his son from justice. It’s a very serious charge

What sort of official actions did Huck do as governor to prevent his son from being investigated? This is the action of a father NOT his son. While I don’t much care about the son’s actions, I DO care about anything the father did that was inappropriate.

I recall W getting into trouble with the law and his parents left him to the system to pay the piper. Much more admirable than what they are implying about Huckabee.

I think it warrants a lookieloo approach. I will observe and wait and see. Cheap shots happen daily in politics. Only the strong survive.

I don't like Huckabee at all but I agree the conduct of his kid is irrelevant.

But this is the MSM's stock in trade--Isikoff is the king of tabloid drivel.
