Winding up a news conference Saturday, Obama was asked how he planned to top Clinton's intention to skitter across Iowa today by helicopter. He paused. Smiled broadly. "Magic carpet," he replied.

Say what you will about Obama's politics, the guy has a very relaxed manner when it comes to dealing with his opponents. It's fun to watch Hillary! and her flying monkeys implode because of it, but then it's up to the R candidate to disarm the guy. Not gonna be an easy task.

“Some of his proposals seem designed more for easy applause than actual governing, such as a pledge to reform the healthcare system by holding a nationally televised round table with doctors, patient advocates, hospital administrators and representatives of the insurance and pharmaceutical industries.”

Shades of Ross Perot who said he would solve the nations problems by holding nation wide TV seminars and polling the nation on their desires. Of course, one can imagine just how carefully selected the ‘doctors, etc.’ would be and just how carefully scripted the round table would be.

And, one can only be reminded of Bill Clinton holding those economic round tables in Arkansas shortly after he was elected to develop policy proposals. Just a bunch of ‘experts’ carefully selected to tell the candidate what great ideas he already had.

Well, you don’t know what we can find
Why don’t you come with me little girl
On a magic carpet ride
You don’t know what we can see
Why don’t you tell your dreams to me
Fantasy will set you free

His majesty “The Clinton” has spoken and says Obama is not ready for the presidency.

In my opinion, neither is Her Majesty “The Clinton” ready for the presidency. What has she done as a senator? Essentially she has done zip.

He paused. Smiled broadly. "Magic carpet," he replied.

The pause and the broad smile were because his first thought was "broomstick".
