Hmmmm. Which one used Red Fuming Anhydrous Nitric Acid and Unsymmetric Dimethyl Hydrazine?
That was the Nike Ajax. The UDMH was a percentage of the jet fuel to increase the power.
It had a quart of straight UDMH in the fuel line to act as an igniter when the rocket engine first started.
UDMH and Red fuming nitric acid are some bad stuff.

You are welcome. I was in the Army in Germany from 59 to 61.
We had both Ajax and Hercules. The Hercules was newer, larger and had a solid fuel rocket.
I suppose that it’s either that or Legionnaire’s disease....
