CLINTON, ‘TOO SERIOUS’?
MSNBC ^ | December 19, 2007 | Athena Jones

ELKADER, Iowa -- Hillary Clinton spoke today about people’s perceptions of her and about the importance of a candidate’s relationship with the military.

(snip)

Clinton talked about her foreign policy experience and then, in what sounded like a new argument for supporting her candidacy, she emphasized the importance of choosing a nominee who has a good relationship with the military, while making repeated references to how long she’s been around.

(snip)

"I also think it’s important when you look at someone running for president to figure out whether they know how to work well with the military, so that you’re not either persuaded to do something you shouldn’t or you stand in the way of doing what you should, and I have not only served on the Senate Armed Services Committee, but have worked extensively on behalf of issues affecting the military and have a good working relationship with a lot of our commanders both current and retired.

I think so, though the version I recall was a wider shot that showed empty seats near her as well as the other soldiers ignoring her. That version appears to be a cropped version of the same picture. The whole poster though does tell the story.

Thanks!

Where are the origins of Her wickedness? Do you fault her parents? I do not think She was born evil, but something must have happened along the way. Well, considering the enemies that she has created in her life, karma will come back at her in full swing - lesson learned: do not hurt people in your lifetime, and if you have, acknowledge it and pray to the Lord for forgiveness./Just Asking - seoul62........

BTW, added note:

My son served on board the USS Lincoln when President Bush gave his speech thanking them for accomplishing their mission. He mentioned to me how sociable the entire entourage was, breaking up into small groups to tour the ship. Ari Fleischer in fact came into my son's duty station and they spoke a bit. He said Mr. Fleischer was very likable, knowledgeable, seemed sincere and impressed him as being quite smart. They were in general, well received by the entire crew.

Is she still using that quiet, soft, voice I’ve been hearing the last few days? Amazing how she can adapt and change so quickly. She must be a schizophrenic.

You're welcome.

I think the kid in the background is hoping the general would punch her lights out.
