And for what it's worth I am ususally quite civil

Well, I would point out how rude it is to quote another FReeper without pinging them (as you did with WPTG) and suggest that if you want to continue to claim to be civil that you start doing so in the future. But, I see that you've been banned, so I'll just say good riddance.

This is the first year that there is a viable candidate. That, coupled with the fact that the people of the 14th have seen what a LOON The Dr is does not bode well for paul.

As I see it, they’re just different branches of the same tree. The end result of failure in Iran and/or Pakistan is the same: nuclear weapons in the hands of murderous Islamist fanatics.

Ron Paul is a bigger idiot than Jimmy Carter, because at least Paul had Carter’s mistakes to learn from, but chooses not to.

Rogue states might act human and decent if we they were given some respect.

Like Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, Communist China, North Korea, and Cambodia? That kind of human and decent?

From your profile:

I do not want people in California telling us NC voters how to live and vice versa.

We in Texas' 14th feel the same way about NC voters.

I didn’t tell you or anyone else how to vote, I just asked if you wanted to take a bet on whether Ron Paul would win in ‘08 for his congressional district. I’d be happy to pocket any money you’d be willing to bet.

Does he not remember why there were sanctions in the first place?

This man gets worse with each passing day - and there are still those who will defend him. On another thread, someone actually posted that his fundraising numbers excused his hypocrisy on the issue of earmarks. There is nothing they won’t defend.
