A "gay man" trapped in a woman's body and other nonsense
Renew America ^ | 12/21/07 | Matt Barber

Talk radio host Michael Savage doesn't mince words. He often says that "liberalism is a mental disorder." He's right. Liberal ideology and political correctness, infused with public policy, begets social insanity.

Case in point: A recent report on a popular homosexual "news" site declares, "A transgendered student says he is the victim of discrimination at a small Massachusetts community college because he is biologically female."

Say what? "He" is "female"? Welcome to PC-ville. Come for the oxymoron, stay for the cognitive dissonance.

In other news, "French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte says he is the victim of discrimination because he is biologically Bob from Detroit."

Apparently, this clearly confused 20-year-old woman who "presents as a male and wears male clothing" is upset that Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill, Massachusetts, will not allow her to undress, shower or otherwise cavort with the fellows in the men's locker room. She's reportedly filed an "affirmative action complaint" against the school.

Even Haverhill's local newspaper, the Eagle-Tribune, plays along, saying that she was "denied the use of the men's locker room ... because of his female anatomy."

"His female anatomy"!?

Okay, wait a minute. ... Is this one of those, "it depends on what the meaning of the word 'his' is" moments?

But it gets worse. The paper goes on to explain that this young woman — er, man ... whatever — actually identifies as a "gay male." It explains that her, "public unveiling as a transgender gay male happened as an adult two years ago. His designation means he has a female body, but identifies as a male and is sexually attracted to men."

Geeze-oh-Pete! My head hurts. Can this be for real? How can any newspaper that wants to be taken seriously report this with a straight face? A "gay" man trapped in a woman's body? And all this time I thought they were just straight gals in Dockers and flannel. When I was a kid we called them "tomboys." They were great fun to play softball with, but they still had to shower with the rest of the girls. What unenlightened bigots we were back then.

Look, I don't mean to single out this young woman. She very possibly suffers from Gender Identity Disorder (GID). Even the left-leaning American Psychiatric Association (APA) acknowledges this unfortunate illness. She's clearly very confused and needs therapy and prayer. I wish her nothing but the best.

But unfortunately, her story embodies everything that's wrong with liberalism and political correctness (well, maybe not everything). This girl is no more a man than Charlton Heston is Moses. And despite the fact that the left has never found a victim they don't like (except for Christians), she's not a victim of discrimination either.

She's a victim of reality.

But we're all victims of reality in one way or another. She wishes she were male. I wish I had a Harley. Howard Dean wishes he had decaf. Ted Kennedy wishes he had swerved. It doesn't make us "tolerant" or "compassionate" to pretend that people have something they don't or that they are something they're not. It makes us liars. It's enabling a delusion, and it's very, very silly.

Still, the real trouble begins when our government seeks — by force of law — to make all of us share in that delusion by enacting thought crimes edicts such as "hate crimes" legislation and the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA). As I've said before, it's "The Emperor's New Clothes" meets George Orwell.

Homosexual activist legislation forces everyone to entertain the delusions of a very small percentage of the population who define themselves based upon aberrant and mutable sexual behaviors. These laws lend official government recognition to conduct that every major world religion, thousands of years of history and uncompromising human biology have deemed both immoral and unnatural.

As for this locker room nonsense: What about the rights of the actual men who might prefer to shower and dress without a female present? Yes, despite the left's assertions otherwise, modesty is still a virtue.

These men have a reasonable expectation of privacy. This young woman has admitted that she's sexually attracted to men (not that it would matter if she wasn't). If the school were to allow her in the men's locker room, it would be facilitating sexual harassment.

Why should these fellows be placed in such an embarrassing and compromising position just so this troubled young lady might enjoy some preposterous special "right" to pretend she's one of the boys? That's called tyranny of the minority, and it is, in fact, discrimination.

Which the leftists also claim to be against, unless Bill Clinton is the perp.

Well, for all my bravado, I don’t think I’d really be able to call him “sir” to his face either. It would just be confrontational and rude. I’d probably try to avoid labels, like they used to do with Pat. “For . . . Pat’s a jolly good . . . person. . . .”

LOL. Hey, I remember your screenname from another forum. Like you, I, too, am discriminated against. I’m a 5’10” supermodel trapped in a shorter woman’s body. It’s just not fair.

Aw, GEEZE, this brings back some aweful memories...

I used to work at a large northeastern U.S. univ that shall remain nameless. There was a guy there, friendly with a cow-orker (that right there tells you what field I worked in). Also an athlete (competition-level bicyclist) with the physique that goes with that - huge leg muscles, etc.

At some point in "his" life, "he" decided "he" was a female. Last time I saw "her", this is what I saw: A former guy with bicyclist legs, broad shoulders, narrow butt, long hair, and the same old homely face, but with lipstick.

Oh, yeah, I forgot. Boobs. S/He had breasts installed. I'm talking KNOCKERS here - or as Al Bundy woulda called 'em; "snack trays".

I've tried beer - scotch - various other chemicals - and I still can't WASH THE IMAGE OUT OF MY BRAIN! GO AWAY!

*whimper*

From the “Culture of Vice” at http://www.orthodoxytoday.org/articles/ReillyCultureVice.php

“...most people recover from their rationalizations” (of engaging in vice) “when remorse and reality set back in. But when morally disordered acts become the defining centerpiece of one’s life, vice can permanently pervert reason. Entrenched moral aberrations then impel people to rationalize vice not only to themselves but to others as well. Thus rationalizations become an engine for revolutionary change that will affect society as a whole.

“The power of rationalization drives the culture war, gives it its particular revolutionary character, and makes its advocates indefatigable. It may draw its energy from desperation, but it is all the more powerful for that. Since failed rationalization means self-recrimination, it must be avoided at all cost. For this reason, the differences over which the culture war is being fought are not subject to reasoned discourse. Persons protecting themselves by rationalizing are interested not in finding the truth, but in maintaining the illusion that allows them to continue their behavior...”

I don’t see the problem ... she’s a female who’s attracted to men ... I mean, isn’t that what used to be called normal?

South Park already did this!

Mr Garrison (Homo 3rd grade teacher with puppet fetish) had a sex change. Mrs Garrison is now a lesbian.

Life imitates art.

the chromosome test is the ultimate arbiter.

In the Navy I learned to look for an adam's apple and man-hands. Before leaving the bar, a "Crocodile Dundee" style "package check" is called for. Or so I was told....

I was also told that in some areas of Thailand, the women that look really good, they're all men.
