Tancredo explains his endorsement of Romney
Fox News | 12/21/2007 | Neil Cavuto

Posted on 12/21/2007 2:06:09 PM PST by DWar

Tancredo explais his support to Cavuto.

He says lay a templte across the remaining candidates and Romney's positions are closest to his.

Illegal Immigration

Borders

Defense

Electability

Romney comest the closest

Had a lengthy and in depth meeting for several hours and questiond him in detail on these and other issues.

Romney fits better tan the rest.

Whenever 2 candidates fight it out Romney/Huckabee some support goes away from both. McCain is benefiting from that.

Romney, and Huckabee are great conservatives if you don’t look farther back than 2006.

I astounded Tank would fall for a campaign conversion to conservatism.

Tancredo did excellent work on bringing illegal immigration to the forefront of the issues. And I do not find it surprising at all that he looked over the choices and found Romney to be most compatable with his position.

Next to Tancredo and Hunter, Romney has the best position on illegal immigration.

Illegal immigration is a key issue. But not the only issue.

“Next to Tancredo and Hunter ROMNEY has the best position on illegal immigration? What planet have you been on? Amnesty Romney has the best position on illegal immigration? The same Romney with illegals working in his home? The same flip flopping Romney? That one? You are kidding, aren’t you? You bi-pass Fred Thompson’s strong secure the border policy for that same Mitt Romney?

I think Tancredo is wagering that it will take a businessman to know how to stop the businesses from hiring illegals. Fred is great and all, but he doesn’t have business experience.

Endorsing a “front runner” was a bad idea.

See my tagline for a definition of “front runner”

I’d be really pleased if that were possible.

But it’s just a pleasant dream.

Mitt Romney is getting support from some improbable sources, but this tops them all.

You can tell they really don’t like Huckabee.

I think it’s cause his name sounds like he owns a red-neck pick-up truck. And because he’s a baptist.
