Running a campaign must be dead hard work, and no matter how anyone feels about politics, it is just good to know that Rudy is OK and back home. I happen to like the guy!

With even a mini-stroke, I dont think they would have let him walk out a day later.

Who on earth goes to the hospital for flu-like symptons? Nobody except illegal immigrants... emergency rooms are full of them, hospitals are going bankrupt.

Very rarely does a headache indicate a stroke. When flying at high altitudes any sinus type pressure will increase the pain of a headache. I am not saying that is what it was, but that is a much more likely scenario than a stroke.
Having said that, I would really like to hear all of the details, although when the campaign says "flu like symptoms" my first thought was diarrhea and who wants to talk about the "trots" in public.
Dehydration (as another poster pointed out) will also bring on headaches. Along with just stress and about a million other things besides a stroke.

I’ve flown a couple of times with a real bad head cold and the pressure change caused a headache so bad my eyes felt like they were going to pop out.

After spending the night and the better part of a day in a Missouri hospital complaining of severe headaches and flulike symptoms, Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani arrived home in New York late Thursday. Ironic isn't it that Fred is out on the campaign trail crisscrossing Iowa while Rudy is flat on his back in a hospital bed.

Maybe it’s a Larry Flynt headache.

He had a massive stroke, luckily because he is a millionare he was able to get a secret cure, while all the uninsured suffer and die.

I actually read ER records every day as part of my job, and believe it or not the biggest utilizers of the emergency room for not emergent care is Medical Assistance patients.
Self pay patients (which generally includes the illegal immigrants) usually wait a lot longer to get care. But the patients with "free" health care that you and I pay for come in within hours of feeling ill. Usually they are the common colds, back pains, generalized stuff that can either be handled at home or wait a few days to see their family doctors. But why wait when it is FREE!!!!
I guarantee that if and when we go to socialized medicine our healthcare costs will go through the roof!

Yes. Matter of fact I popped an eardrum on one flight.
But Giuliani must be an experienced flier.
Anyway, who knows? If not the assertion that he turned the plane around, I wouldn’t give 2 cents for all this. And probably I shouldn’t give 2 cents anyway.
Where were these guys when clinton refused for eight years to release his medical records?

This is probably a much ado about nothing story. I would bet he went to the hospital because he had a full schedule and couldn’t afford to be sick for any period of time. My wife will go to the doctor for even the slightest cough when she is performing in an opera because she can’t afford for it to get worse and affect her performance.

Huckster is the one the donkeys want as the republican nominee...wonder why? That’s an easy one...he’s the only republican running the donkeys can beat. So one little nothing about a candidate that can beat the donkeys...is run into the ground. Oh please...hoping all can see through this...even if he’s not your candidate.
