This interview by Chris Wallace of General Petraeus is awful (the General is doing fine). It is shallow and frivolous and made up of nothing but Beltway obsessions and talking points.

The General manages to make it interesting and informative.

Paul appeals to the fringe of politics. By being anti everything he gives the fringe the notion that he will dismantle a society they hate for rejecting them.

It total demagoguery on Paul’s parts. He makes promises he knows he would never ever be able to keep even if he were elected.

So either Paul is a mental incompetent who has utterly no clue about the Constitutional powers, and limitations, of the office of President or he is a total fraud cynically manipulating the emotional hot buttons of the political fingers. Either way he is completely unqualified to be President of the USA.

Reliable sources talking about the campaign coverage of Hillary and Howie thinks its unfair to Hillary. No surprise from the Clinton News Network, or the Corrupt News Network...either one works.

Patraeus is such a strong and good man, he was excellent on FNS.

Why does not not surprise me whilst he may not be my favourite candidate FNS or FNC are not being fair and balanced, surely there must be some rule about mentioning all candidates on the ballot or are they not actually on any official ballot when it comes to the primaries or only just so long before the primaries.

Speaking of global warming....in Phoenix/Az, we're having unusually cold weather. One agency--not sure which, actually--declared no-burn status. NOT because the air is dirty, but because it COULD BECOME DIRTY. "don't burn wood".

Do commercial fireplace logs count ? Not in this house. LOL

Ridiculous nannyism.

Of this we are not so certain.

Where’s Joe Biden? Where’s John McCain?

Is the world coming to an end?

Exactly, he also get just a little bit confused on the WOT by equating crazed terror types with rational people, "if we leave them alone they will leave us alone" sorry ru that might work with rational people but not when you are fighting and dealing with wackjobs that see us only as infidels.

Paul just does not get it.

Libertarianism with integrity and character is desirable.

Undisciplined, selfish Libertines lacking solid moral fiber are all too prevalent and the product of politically-correct indoctrination.

Like the Founders said, this Constitution is fit to govern a moral people and wholly unsuitable for any other.

Don’t be talking bad about my man Joe.

Who, were he not senator, could be a comedian.

I thought his quip about Rudy G,...re as I paraphrase, “the man says hello, vote for me...September 11. That’s all there is to the man.”

Well hey, I thought it was funny.

If only the pubs had such a humor.

I am fortunate our company consider it not economic to open just for a day or day and half over Christmas New year so we finished on Friday and do not go back until Wednesday the 2nd.

On the other hand we have to reserve holiday for the 4 extra days, we get Christmas, Boxing and New Year Day anyway as they are public holidays.

That why I said "MOST" not "all" IT types. :-)

I work with IT people and a goodly portion of them are quite normal functional people. However, even the most loyal of IT professionals has to admit there are a large number of rather dysfunctional personalities that tend to crop up in IT jobs.
