"The defining political moment was when Hillary and all the Dems in Congress came out against General Patraeus.."

Ditto that.

Favorite Moment

NASA corrects it's weather temperature data, admitting the 1930's was warmer than the current weather. Global Warming is proven a hoax once again, and then Al Gore is given the Nobel Peace Prize for pitching the hoax.

Worst Moment

Watching Free Republic become an obnoxious unreadable forum full of idiots. Every thread is nothing but foaming at the mouth hate raves about Republican candidates.

The mass media paid attention to the bodies in the streets, but failed to take into account the mass phone call and email campaign against amnesty.

Someone has to give an honorable mention to NC DA Roy Cooper torpedoing the Crystal Mangum/ Michael Nifong hoax. The next time a DA starts to try a case in the press, the defendant's lawyer will say "Mike Nifong, is that you? I thought you had been debarred!"

That one’s pretty good, if this is an international thread. I suppose the “Don’t tase me, bro” would be a defining moment for domestic politics. Both of these offer something from the lighthearted perspective.

I think the defining moment in 2007 was when GWB called people who opposed his shamnesty plan, “bigots”. It served to define the shape of the presidential race, domestic politics, and GWB’s legacy all in one swoop.

According to Intrade, the winner of the December 12th GOP debate was... Duncan Hunter.

Interesting. When I look at other conservative forums, they have “truth files” on the Democratic opposition. When I look here the “truth files” are on the Republican front-runners. Has Free Republic become a back room of DU?

I would say absolutely number 1 would be the Reid "phony soldier letter" signed by all those dumb@ss senators and Rush brilliantly auctioning the letter off for big bucks for charity.
number 2 would be Hillary's illegal alien drivers license debate answer which was the start of her pissing away any chance or ever becoming president.

Thanks for the color...it was a delcisious episode for all the stated reasons.

I can't comprehend how Reid can address the Senate and try to take credit for this. There can't be an honest bone in that man's body. Jeeez.

Maybe I can comprehend it....coming from a lib, but it really tears at me that honesty and decency is apparently so foreign to anyone, but especially one of this countries leaders.
