MANCHESTER, N.H. - Hillary Clinton predicted Saturday that just electing her President will cut the price of oil.
When the world hears her commitment at her inauguration about ending American dependence on foreign fuel, Clinton says, oil-pumping countries will lower prices to stifle America's incentive to develop alternative energy.
"I predict to you, the oil-producing countries will drop the price of oil," Clinton said, speaking at the Manchester YWCA. "They will once again assume, once the cost pressure is off, Americans and our political process will recede."

If anything her policies like windfall tax directly on oil companies to pay for alternative energy investment would only drive the price of gas higher and higher.
Hillary Clinton seems to be coming unglued since her lead evaporated in Iowa and NH.

Actually I suspect cheap oil and looking the other way while the world took Saddam’s dirty money was how the Clinton Administration managed to keep the economy afloat after raising taxes so high in the 90s. Investing in alternative energy pixie dust schemes isn’t going to frighten OPEC into any price cuts or increased output because it’s not serious and they know it. Now if we were to drill our own oil, step up coal production, nuclear and natural gas... then they’d cut the price of oil. But for windmills and solar panels? Be serious Democrats.

I didn’t think so, either...
It probably would work, but at the price of shutting down the war on terrorism, suspending the Patriot Act, intervening in regional conflicts on the side of the Islamics (a la Kosovo), and a promise to look the other way at terrorism against American military abroad. Bubba Krinton did it, so it’s no surprise that Shillary would work the same deal.
