Today as there are no new photos apart from one of the President on the telephone I have dedicated the dose today to part 2 and the final part of the ornaments on the Christmas Tree in the Blue Room.

You will have to explain to others that this is a chocolate bar or they will think you have been eating the above card I sent to Wolfstar.

Thanks to you & the other Dose contributors & posters for their great offerings over the past few days.
Eleanor I LOVED The ornament collection.. .
Getting here late but try to eventually catch up.
I do hope all have had a wonderful holiday.. Sometimes the “post letdown” can be heavy. I hope you all do well.
And Jonny.. I too am honored with the surprise I got in the mail from you which arrived Christmas Eve! Thank you friend. I seem to be behind on most things for various reasons..
hard to believe there are only a few days left in 2007.

Nah...just found it on the internet....love those palm trees, yet I ONLY have them on our bed linen, the sheers draping the windows in our bathroom, and two pillows in our family room.

So glad to know Dan is doing well. I caught a bit of the Queen’s speech on the news. They also showed a picture of her when she did her fist one in 1957. She was a lovely young queen, and she’s still nice looking!

Well, my Christmas didn't turn out quite as expected. I woke up about 8:50am, still not breathing well. I've had problems the last couple of weeks, and just thought it was congestion from bronchitis coming on, or something. I was walking around getting breakfast ready, and had to stop several times because I was so winded. There was nothing for it but to call our Doc's service. He's an old friend, but I didn't want to call his house, I figure another Doc in his practice might be on call. Anyway he called me back, fussing at me for not calling me at his house, and after giving him the info, he said he wanted me to go in to the ER, so they could check my heart. Well, that did it. They admitted me, so I spent Christmas Day in the hospital, and I'm still here! The kids brought up my gifts, and some of theirs and we opened them up here. I had already told them to put the ham back in the freezer and fix some pizzas for supper.
Turns out, I had Atrial Fibrillation, so they've been bombarding me with blood thinners, they did an Echo Cardiogam this morning, and a Cadiac CT tonight. In the morning they sedate me and I'll go in for a scan for them to check for any clots in my heart, then, if its clear, they'll zap my heart with some little paddles to shock it into a regular rhythm.
So, if y'all could keep me in your prayers, tomorrow, I'dd appreciate it! Doc said if there are no complications, I might be able to go home tomorrow night, or at the latest, Friday morning.
GAK, it's been almost 18 years since I've spen more than a few hours in a hospital, and I'd forgotten just how bad it is. It's hard to sleep when you'e hearing the beeps and dings of other folks' , and my own, heart monitors, if you roll over and leads come off. Also, they wake you up at 4 in the morning to check your blood pressure. Since I wasn't asleep this morning about 3:30, the aide went ahead and did the BP then, and I finally got to sleep about 4 and slept til about 8:30. Felt good.

Well, I have been hurting so much that I have not been able to get to sleep. Watched tv for a while and think I will go back to bed. I sure hope you get to feeling much better real soon. It is no fun being ill at Christmas time. Keep us posted. The one fun thing about being in the hospital is they wake you up to give you a sleeping pill and then you stay awake the rest of the night!
