It has certainly been a great disappointment that the Bush administration has continued to support clinton’s criminal war against Yugoslavia, which was a violation of international law, American law, and UN law—but more than that, was entirely against our national interests and the interests of Western civilization.
But it’s not just the Bush administration. The whole Republican party, with few exceptions, has remained silent. And the club of conservative gurus has remained silent. It is most ironic that the only supporter of our longtime friend and ally in that region is one of our deadliest enemies, Vladimir Putin.
Of all clinton’s crimes in office, his wars in Bosnia and Kosovo were probably the worst.
This should make sure Serbia ends up in a situation where they have no choice but to take a very pro-russian stance. Brilliant.
The fact the Serbia bombing was allowed to go virtual unchallenged, and remain so for nearly a decade, says to me that this action had support at some level or place that the GOP knew better than to challenge. Contrast with the opposition to the Iraq invasion today, and the open criticism from the DNC.
