Clinton’s Résumé Factor: Those 8 Years as First Lady
New York Times ^ | December 26, 2007 | Patrick Healy

Posted on 12/26/2007 7:49:30 AM PST by Kaslin

As first lady, Hillary Rodham Clinton jaw-boned the authoritarian president of Uzbekistan to leave his car and shake hands with people. She argued with the Czech prime minister about democracy. She cajoled Roman Catholic and Protestant women to talk to one another in Northern Ireland. She traveled to 79 countries in total, little of it leisure; one meeting with mutilated Rwandan refugees so unsettled her that she threw up afterward.

But during those two terms in the White House, Mrs. Clinton did not hold a security clearance. She did not attend National Security Council meetings. She was not given a copy of the president’s daily intelligence briefing. She did not assert herself on the crises in Somalia, Haiti and Rwanda.

And during one of President Bill Clinton’s major tests on terrorism, whether to bomb Afghanistan and Sudan in 1998, Mrs. Clinton was barely speaking to her husband, let alone advising him, as the Lewinsky scandal sizzled.

You’re playing into the “comeback kid” scenario that is the current order of battle of the Clintonistas.

***Her plan mandated complete regulation of hospitals such as to render all hospitals property of the federal government; the control was over their construction, administration, income, doctor pay, patient care, etc.***

Excellent post. And don’t forget that right after she was elected junior senator of NY State, she said that she had learned that she couldn’t get socialized medicine passed ALL AT ONCE, but she would do it increment by increment. And the socialists in the democrat party are doing her bidding with the bill they want to put children into socialized health care even though their parents have them under private health care.

“And the socialists in the democrat party are doing her bidding “

So are many in the Republican party. I can’t tell you how many people I know who claim to be conservatives who think socialized medicine is the best way to go.

Hillary was the Commander in Chief...she INSISTED that SERBIA was BOMBED!!!

That is my understanding, as well.

There was a news story shortly after the beginning of the Kosovo Adventure which gave her "credit" for initiating hostilities.

She and Chelsea were then on their "worldwide tour". She purportedly called Bill from Egypt, as I recall, and instructed him to start dropping bombs on Serbia.

Oddly, no rationale was given for the First Lady's advice to a President on a matter of war and peace. But one can speculate that it was fundamentally political advice -- a war would effectively draw attention away from the damaging triune of a.) impeachment, b.) the Cox Report and c.) Juanita Broaddrick.

Urging military action for political purposes does not constitute a credential for the Presidency.

Resume:
* Sanitized Vice Foster’s office before investigators arrived.
* Squirreled away and sanitized ROSE LAW FIRM records before “finding” them in her closet.
* Met in secret with cronies for purpose of nationalizing health care.
* Held door for fired travel office employees so pals from Arkansas could have the jobs.
* Ignored strange sucking sounds coming from Oval Office during Lewinsky affair.

It would, if it ever happened, strictly be a photo op with her posing and making sure her good side was showing. (( ! ))

"Just watch the film of the Ron Brown funeral."

I'll never forget him brushing that imaginary tear away right when the camera caught him laughing coming out of the church.

She wasn’t first lady. She was the first unelected co-president.

Her return to the White House with X42 IN TOW AS CO-PRESIDENT is unconstitutional. But she represents the best hope the Democrats have to return to the White House so we must all drink the Kool Aid and pretend we don’t see the t*** in the punch bowl.

Hillary knew Bill had women on the side. Theirs is an open marriage, one of convenience.

Hillary was not mad that Bill had another young floozie, she was angry that he got caught.

***I can’t tell you how many people I know who claim to be conservatives who think socialized medicine is the best way to go.***

Guess you’d better tell them that they’ll be paying for it two ways:
First with a huge raise in their taxes, and secondly when they pay for a private physician because the waiting list on socialized medicine is too long to wait.

Vote for her because she was married to the president.

I’d rather have Laura Bush if it came down to that.

Either they are trying to make her the comeback kidette, or they know something about her that they think will come out in the campaign, and they don’t want her to be the nominee. Is knowledge of her proclivities a little too public?
