NW Baltimore is probably the most dangerous.

Your information is without a doubt dated. The only "safe" areas now are near the inner harbor and along the water to Canton, South Baltimore and the center section along Charles St is not bad, but property crime is rampant there. The rest is pretty dang dangerous, and its creeping into the suburbs

East Baltimore is among the most dangerous parts of the city. It leads the city's other police districts with 41 homicides as of Oct. 8, an increase of 11 percent from the corresponding time last year, and 98 nonfatal shootings, an increase of 17 percent.

In fact, they were talking of taking measures some people refer to as martial law .

I still love visiting I lived in NE, (Lauraville). My favorite watering hole is Racer’s and Dead Freddie’s. My sister was manager at Lewie’s Book Store Cafe on Charles, way back. Went to Poly on North Ave, so I am dated.

The inner harbor isn't safe in the least. It just gives that impression because it doesn't look like it was firebombed last week. Our last trip down to the IH my family got stalked - some shiftless guy who followed our every turn, walking when we walked, stopping when we stopped. He was probably after the purses or maybe even trying to follow us back to our car. As for the burbs and the counties, anywhere the mass-transit lines go, Baltimore follows...
