I’d like to open a big can of diversity sensitivity training on my (other religion) neighbors. They started a major remodel on the condo under us on Christmas Eve. And today, the day after Christmas, shut off our water... along with continuing to take up the tile flooring.

I wonder if those that celebrate Kwanzaa get pissed at all the after-holiday sales that started today.

Our PBS station had something about cooking a Kwanzaa feast this afternoon. It was mostly New Orleans/Cajun/Creole fare.(yummy!)

Avi Nelson, sitting in for Howie Carr, said that the Wikipedia page on Kwanzaa was heavily edited over the last 24 hours.

My kids came home from school with bracelets that had kwanzaa beeds on them. I am wary of it, but since I know my school, I know they aren’t pushing anyting on them. After asking them, they didn’t even know what it meant.

Now that you mention it......neither did I.

Amazingly, I’ve never met a black person that celebrates it either....must be SOME out there, but I’ve yet to find one.

And the guy tacked on another “a” to the Swahili word just so that it would contain seven letters, which was the number of members in the original “congregation”.

Kwanzaa sounds more like a “Hate Whitey” festival. Its like celebrating “James Earl Ray Day” for white supremacists
