“I think Ann is having some trouble seeing the forest for the trees, regarding the GOP presidential candidates.”

Care to back that up? Or do you wish to apologize to Miss Coulter?

“”This is my highway - you need to pay my toll!”

A mile down the street, “Now this is my highway, pay my toll, too!””

Who should pay for the roads? And how?

~Are you aware there are some privately run toll-roads in America and they are better maintained and less congested than gubmint roads?

~Have you ever heard of congestion tolling?

If I were to critique Libertariansm, I don’t think I’d start with the roads.

“Then, pity the poor mugging victim, who has to shop around for the best private policeman to hire...”

Are you satified with the number of muggers who get away with the crime?

How do you feel about muggers, murderers and rapists who get pardons from dim-witted and/or corrupt governors?

“...not to mention fire fighting by the principle of “caveat emptor”.”

Is one of the candidates running on such a platform?

“you are trying to enlighten a seriously ignorant person. I read his home page too. He is like many I have encountered — driven by one thing ENVY.”

"I am out to change the Republican Party. It needs changing. It needs to be inclusive of all those people across America for whom this party should stand,"

Huckabee somehow makes himself look worse and worse every single day. If the GOP was any more "inclusive", we'd be calling ourselves democrats.

The difference in this case, is if Hunter ever got that bump to the top, he has the credentials to stay there, and shred Hobombary in the main.
***Yup. That’s why I’m still persistent, even in the face of daunting odds. My candidate has seen worse, when he was staring down viet cong and got his bronze star. He deserves unflinching support.

According to Intrade, the winner of the December 12th GOP debate was... Duncan Hunter.

Recall that imposter Rep.Huffington (R-CA) and his wife Ariana had successfully penetrated the party. He, a homosexual and she a Greek communist.
His Senate race was managed by Ed Rollins, who now works for Huckabee...
***Thanks for that bit of information. I’m sure the RINO Ansel will want to use it as an opportunity to browbeat all of us into voting for whomever becomes the GOP nominee. After all, he went to the point of lying about me when pushing that point vis-a-vis Feinstein.

Evidently not successfully enough to bring down Diane Feinstein in the 1994 election, but he did get fairly close considering.

I believe the right to life and the sanctity of traditional marriage are also true conservative principles.

Well, I believe those elude the category of "principles" and fall into the category of "social conservatism." I have as much respect for the unborn and the sanctity of marriage as you. But I can see the difference between true conservative principles and government enforcement of specific moral values, the support for which is euphemized as "social conservatism."

How will you possibly keep your vision of "right to life" from requiring that every positive pregnancy test be officially reported so that in the event that pregnancy becomes terminated for whatever reason, it can be investigated and concluded either as a crime of murder or occurrence of Mother Nature? Your vision of "right to life" would absolutely entail a hugely invasive and restrictive government oversight of medicine. This is a serious thing YOU need to think about. Better yet, YOU need to accept God's truth that YOU have no business in using our government to take roles YOU think you should have between private sinners, sins, and the Almighty -- it is between Him and them and you have zero place in it. That is where "social conservatism" becomes Republican Liberalism.

Oh, maa-aaa-aaan, that was beautiful! (see my tagline)

I just hafta repost for posterity this from your post, because it is so very profound in addressing one of the most insidious threats to the 21st century free world:

... like many I have encountered -- driven by one thing: ENVY. People who are insanely jealous of true achievers who made great wealth through the wonderful capitalist system, become obsessed with using government to "level the playing field." Those who are envious in many ways are evil to the core. They try to rationalize any method that would punish those who make a dollar more than they. The fool ... you are trying to enlighten is a lost cause. He and his lot must be defeated; reasoning with them is impossible.
