If true, this should be good for the republican candidate as a consensus of Paul haters here say his support comes from left wing, George Soros/Moveon moonbats.

That statement makes about as much sense as a Ron Paul speech on national security. The left wants Ron Paul to run so that, just like Ross Perot in '92 and '96, he can siphon off votes that would otherwise be cast for the Republican candidate, thereby facilitating the election of the former first co-dependent or B. Hussein Obomanation.

I agree, this would benefit the GOP.

Paul haters

I don't hate Ron Paul. I just think voting for a guy who hangs with, helps and encourages Truthers has as much to do with conservatism aand libertarianism as socialized medicine does.

You don't get it. Paul is a leftist, his supporters are leftist kooks, and he's financially backed by leftists. Therefore, logic dictates that Paul supporters would otherwise vote for the Republican. < /Paulbasher logic>

I suspect it may be so, especially as the extremist left is as disgusted with Clinton as most republicans are with Huckles and company. Few true conservatives will waste their vote on Paul but a lot of crank leftists might, just to register their anti-American agenda, as they did with Nader in 2000. That may be the accurate parallel, not Perot.
