French physicist calls Al Gore a 'crook' over global warming issues

Al Gore is taking a beating in France, where people long resisted the green message and the nuclear industry thrives for home energy.

Bloomberg's Jorg von Uthmann reports that the Paris bookstores are filled with tomes debunking the Gore message despite him winning the Nobel Peace Prize.

France's number one Gore debunker is physicist Claude Allegre, a former education minister and a physicist by profession. Uthmann reports that his new book, ``Ma Verite Sur la Planete'' - My Truth About the Planet'' - lays it out.

Gore is called a "crook" presiding over an eco-business that pumps out cash.

France is actually quite green, in large part due to their extensive use of nuclear energy. They make so much that they export it.

Al proves that the apple (try saying that last word with two fingers in your mouth and you'll be much closer to the word I wanted to use but can't say here)

ROTFLMAO!

Why do people use Snopes as a reference on political issues?

They shouldn't. Snopes believes every "Arkancide" is a myth!

If the greenies had a brain

Some do. One of the cofounders of Greenpeace left when they got more anti-economy than pro-environment. He now touts the benefits of nuclear energy.

After all, you just have Al Gore’s word that the trees that were supposed to supply the “carbon reduction” were actually planted.

I have GOT to get into this business. People giving me millions of dollars to plant trees? Yep, I'll plant'em exactly like I said I would. And after I cut them down I'll plant even more. This racket could finance the start of my future lumber empire.

Lately I have had to rethink my attitude toward the French and am a little more forgiving over the Libya overflight deal that happened back in the early 80’s.

I'm trying to figure this out: "despite him winning the Nobel Peace Prize". Were they supposed to have burned all those books upon Algore winning the Nobel Putz Prize? Or at least have a ecologically friendly shredding and carbon sequestration burial of them?

Occidental Petroleum pays Gore Junior over a $100,000 a year for the drilling rights on his property in Carthage, Tennessee, which is a known hotbed of oil in the US.

Sarcasm tag....

John the farmer was in the fertilized egg business. He had several hundred young laying hens, called “pullets”, and eight to ten roosters, whose jobs were to fertilize the eggs.

The farmer kept records and any rooster that did not perform well went into the soup pot and was replaced. That took an awful lot of John’s time so he bought a set of tiny bells and attached a set to each of his roosters. Since each bell had a different tone, John could tell from a distance, which rooster was performing. Now he could sit on the porch and fill out an efficiency report simply by listening to the bells.

The farmer’s favorite rooster was old Albert, a very fine specimen indeed. But on one particular morning John noticed old Albert’s bell hadn’t rung at all! John went to investigate expecting to find old Albert was no longer up to the job.

John noticed the other roosters were chasing pullets, bells-a-ringing. The pullets, hearing the roosters coming, would run for cover. But to Farmer John’s amazement, old Albert had his bell in his beak, so it couldn’t ring. He’d sneak up behind a pullet, do his job and walk on to the next one. John was so proud of old Albert, he entered him in the Boone County Fair and Albert became an overnight sensation among the judges.

The result...

The judges not only awarded Albert the No Bell Piece Prize but they also awarded him the Pullet Surprise as well. Clearly Albert was a politician in the making: who else but a politician could figure out how to win two of the most highly coveted awards on our planet by being the best at sneaking up on the populace and screwing them when they weren’t paying attention?

“The French are redeeming themselves!”

You know, this might require some rethinking! Consider that the French have been way ahead of the game on nuclear energy and their safety record is superb, they didn’t let the greenies deter them on that technology.

And I remember well their protests and silly costumes that they have a penchant to dress up in (have you noticed that?) and prance around in, prance in France as it were...

This winter I am going to have fun with global warming (while we freeze here in New England).

Every time I see a liberal bundled up and shivering outside in the cold I will say:

"Wouldn't it be great if global warming happened faster? Then we wouldn't have to move South to retire?"

I have tried it a couple of times already and you can watch their brain go "tilt" before your very eyes.

:-)

What is with the French doing all of this wising up lately?

It kind of makes me wonder if the hatred for the US wasn't just a media hoax to make Bush look bad.
