The burial of Benzair Bhutto was today marred by heavy violence across Pakistan as a bitter row broke out over how she died.
As hundreds of thousands mourned the murdered opposition leader, the country's Interior Ministry claimed she had died from hitting her vehicle's sunroof when she tried to duck after a suicide attack.
However, one of Miss Bhutto's aide rejected the government's explanation of her death as a "pack of lies".
Brigadier Javed Cheema, a ministry spokesman, said Miss Bhutto had died from a head wound she sustained when she smashed against the sunroof's lever as she tried to shelter inside the car.
"The lever struck near her right ear and fractured her skull," Mr Cheema said.
But the explanation was ridiculed by Farooq Naik, Miss Bhutto's top lawyer and a senior official in her Pakistan People's Party.
"It is baseless. It is a pack of lies," he said.
"Two bullets hit her, one in the abdomen and one in the head. It was a serious security lapse........"

I agree. From the video I have seen of her, she seemed to have a big ego, a savior ego if you will...In a country filled with armed fanatical religious crazies, this was predictable. Then throw in the fact that the current chief witch doctor wanted her in the boiling kettle....Like her, the rest is history.
Watching some video last night of the festivities, we saw one guy banging his head against a burned out bus.

We don't know what the white thing is or what it was made of. There is a speaker on top of the car. Maybe the white bar is like a lecturn or hand hold for use in a campaign. It is just possible that there was an upper abdomen shot, but I doubt it.
What difference does it make if she was shot? If the government wanted to make up a story, why make one certain to cause controversy?

Regardless, it's not a photo of the actual event, so no evidence there as to weather she stood up a little further, reached out to shake one of the fanatics hands or whatever.
Again, if you look closely at the photo you provided, under the white object on the roof, possibly the sunroof or some type a light bar, you can clearly see her clothing underneath it, and it would appear her upper abdomen area was exposed.
you are referring to his sudden worsening and death 8 days post-shooting after he ate and drank? Inquiring minds want to know!
This is really appalling- the cover up must have begun while her body was still warm.
The official explanation is that the gunman fired three shots, all of which missed. She ducked back into the car. While she was ducking, the bomb exploded. The force of the explosion threw her head back into the roof of the car, fracturing her skull, which killed her.
Sounds plausible to me. Whether it is in fact true or not no one posting here can know for sure.

Observations:
1. That is a very poor quality image.
2. That is not a "fracture". That is, in medical terminology, "a big friggin' chuck missing or depressed into the intracranial cavity".
3. They must have done a CT to document intracranial damage. Where is it?

If the X-Rays are genuine (big "if"), that explanation would fit the images.
Notice that the edges of the defect caused by the missing "big friggin' chunk" have a triangular appearance as if a hatchet had made it. If you slip and fall and hit your head against the edge of a metal plate, the force is small and you would expect a linear skull fracture at worst.
With the powerful blast of a bomb driving the head back, however, the edge of the metal plate would impact the skull with great force thereby leaving the triangular, hatchet shaped defect. The bone fragment (and it looks like a sizable chunk of the skull from size of the skull defect) would then be driven into the brain like a knife through butter.
