I'm all for effective policing to get rid of "public indecency", but this strikes me as entrapment.

Eventually, she asked to see Garrison's penis; he unzipped his pants and complied.

Sounds like entrapment to me. Considering the fact that the "sunbather" was also breaking the law....

I agree. This is entrapment.

BUT...

these dimbulbs should’ve suspected something was up. Obviously, their “little head” was thinking for their “big head”.

Gentlemen, if it seems too good to be true...that's probably because it is too good to be true.

“the woman smiling and resting her foot on his shoulder at one point.”

Either the woman had very long legs, or the gentleman was height challenged.

And you know what they say about short guys with big feet and noses don’t you?

Berliner Park is made up of many softball fields. At one time, it was the largest softball park in the nation - maybe it still is. The last decade or so has seen the south of downtown Columbus park turn into a hangout for homos that want to meet during lunch for a nooner. I’d say several times a year there are news reports of inappropriate behavior. It's sad, many years ago it was a fun place to watch and play amateur sports. Now it's a place most fear to be near.

As a side note, the park is named after the late Lou Berliner, the long-time amateur sports reporter for the Columbus Dispatch, a holocaust survivor and a relative of my ex wife.

Columbus police utilized this topless woman to snare this man

How much is the government paying for her services?

MISLEADING HEADLINE ALERT!

A man who pulls out Mr. Wiggles on the invitation of a topless, adult woman is not a pervert. He may be drunk, he may be stupid, he may be fuddled with lust ... but the natural, non-perverse, outcome is for adult men to be eager for sex with adult women.

From the article: "They do not need to manipulate a situation where temptation may overcome even people who would normally never think of committing a crime."

I see the problem. Every single state in the union has countless sanctions for things like a traffic cop at speed trap. That sanction doesn't even involve an act of will, just an obvious act of government greed. So WTF, at least the government has found a willful act.

The police need to be careful. Pretty soon there are going to be people who will be trying to flush out would-be “police brutalizers”. And it will all be caught on tape and become very expensive for the cities and officers.

According to a recent Ohio appellate case, State v. Bowshier, 2007 -Ohio- 5364 (Ohio App. Dist.2 10/05/2007, entrapment requires two elements: “the criminal design originates with the officials of the government” — check — “and they implant in the mind of an innocent person the disposition to commit the alleged offense and induce its commission in order to prosecute” — check. Sure seems like entrapment to me.
