A co-chairman for Rudy Giuliani’s veterans’ coalition in New Hampshire resigned Saturday after telling a British newspaper that Muslims need to be chased “back to their caves.”

-snip-

the original Guardian interview, Deady said Giuliani is the best candidate to handle “one of the most difficult problems in current history” — “the rise of the Muslims.”

He added: “We need to keep the feet to the fire and keep pressing these people until we defeat or chase them back to their caves or, in other words, get rid of them.”

“I don’t subscribe to the principle that there are good Muslims and bad Muslims,” Deady said in the article. “They’re all Muslims.”

Regretably, this is correct. What it amounts to is that the only good Muslim is a bad Muslim, one who does not follow the example of Mohammed (rape, enslave, murder, break oaths, pillage, conquer) or the Koran.

I never would have said that in the past, but it is the conclusion I have gradually come to. How can a religion based on the teachings of a child rapist and wife stealer, a habitual enslaver, a bully to the weak, a power-drunk coward, ever be squared with decency?

But, unfortunately, we are not allowed to say that.

He’s right, but he’s an idiot for saying that without qualifying it by saying “radical” muslims...not just “the muslims.”

No, he’s got it right!!!

Right. Let’s hear Fred say that, then, if he has so much political courage.

Oh, pleeeeze. Its like saying there are no bad Catholics or good Catholics -- that to see Catholicism in action, just look at Teddy Kennedy.

I know many a fine Muslim who have no problem integrating into US society and wishing me a Merry Christmas.

Finally! Someone with the intestinal fortitude to tell it like it is about this death cult. Of course only a veteran would have the guts to identify the real enemy of Western Civilization.

Asked, for example, if he stood by his comments, Deady said:

“I most assuredly do. I’ve been very concerned about this Muslim thing for quite awhile. The average American does not know beans about what the Muslims are about. I am talking about the Muslims in general. I don’t subscribe to the principle that there are good Muslims and bad Muslims. They’re all Muslims.”

Deady added, “When I say get rid of them, I wasn’t necessarily referring to genocide.”

Rudy the Gutless: he will not get one Muslim vote in any case. They will vote for the democrats, who promise to surrender in Iraq, cease monitoring Islamist terrorist phone calls, and close GITMO. Islamist votes elected Webb in Virginia, but they can probably deliver no other state. Rudy should have stood by his truth-teller.

Deady view of Muslims is the same attitude liberals have of Evangelicals.

“I know many a fine Muslim who have no problem integrating into US society and wishing me a Merry Christmas”

So wishing someone a merry Christmas offsets their following and revering a savage, murderous, rapist.

Islam has at it’s center just such a man.

Catholicism has Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace.

Bit of a difference there.

Anyone who doesn’t reject Islam is either a savage or stupid. And in this case given that so many of the “prophets” adherents are as murderous as he was the stupid among them are not harmless.

Merry Christmas indeed.

Where do you get off calling yourself a Christian, and being so bloody judgmental? I said I happen to know a very sweet man - from Lebanon. He grew up with Jewish and Christian friends and dodged civil war bullets. His religion is Muslim. He is someone I trust very highly. He has no problem wishing people a “Merry Christmas”. Are all Muslims like this? NO. Are all Catholics like Ted Kennedy? NO. The Muslim faith has been hi-jacked by the radicals.

What you say has a lot of resonance. I have also known some fine Muslim people. And I have read about many more in novels and other sources.

But I have to conclude that they are honorable people in spite of, not because of, Islam. To me the critical question is, was Mohammed himself one of these honorable, decent Muslims? And the answer certainly appears to be “no.” He was an oath breaker, a rapist, a murderer, an enslaver. He was not a good example to be imitated.

The paradox, for me, is that in effect a bad or hypocritical Christian is a bad or destructive person. Teddy Kennedy, to give one example, or Jimmy Carter for another. But there is nothing to be ashamed of in the example of Jesus.

But unfortunately the best Muslims are the bad Muslims, or if that is too strong, the incomplete Muslims, the ones who are not too observant, who don’t follow all the precepts, and in particular the ones who don’t immitate Mohammed, although he is supposedly the perfect example for Muslims to follow.
