I agree with you that merchants and businesses should decide. I don’t like government regulations. The problem is that some arrogant people don’t care about anyone but there own nasty habits and would lite up anyhow. I work in a place that has a no tobacco policy and people still lite up.

Substituting government legislation for their inaction is not the answer. The place to start would be pointing out to management that those people are flaunting their rules. And their disrespect impacts everyone there.
