Father God, I come to you on this cold December day in prayer for this world. Violence abounds everywhere. The love of many has truly grown cold. And it seems that every demon of Hell is taking his mask off and blatantly thumbing his nose in Your face. Yet, Lord, we read the back of the book and know that though this weeping endures for the night, joy comes in the morning.

Father, I pray for those who do not know You. For those who place their trust in themselves alone, for those who embrace false religion or claim no religion. May their eyes be opened to Your truth.

I pray for Your warriors in the field. Not just those doing physical combat, but for those in spiritual battles. Bring us all through Lord. And let not the enemy triumph over us.

I pray for those in our government, particularly President Bush. Encourage and strengthen him, Father. Make your grace to shine upon him and this nation. Give peace to our land and to Your people Israel. And may the decisions made by our government be wise in Your eyes.

Go with us the rest of today I pray. Be with us tonight. In Jesus name I pray these things, Amen.
