I thought of Daniel Pearl too.... but Sheikh went to the London School of Economics and has been alleged to be a British who went off the reservation at some point. She also sounded really well spoken and that did not sound like a slip.

I did listen and you are right, it seemed like she meant Daniel Pearle, but mistaking bin Laden for Pearle seems pretty odd, too, especially when she mentioned bin Laden's son and not Osama as one of the potential conspirators against her.

In all likelihood, you are right, but it would have been better if Frost cleared it up with a follow up question.

I agree. She dropped it on purpose. You could hear how well spoken she was and I believe if she’d misspoken, she’d have corrected herself. She meant it, she wanted it out there.
