If Huckabee was manipulating the press (to whatever degree) I don’t think conservative voters feel too bad for the press.

I don't know... His reaction to Bhutto's death actually caused me pain to watch. And now this was pretty transparently dishonest. Maybe it won't effect the caucus in terms of his core support but I would the odds of him getting a big share of the undecideds went down.

Manipulating the press and failing miserably to manipulate the press are two entirely different things.
Huckabee did not manipulate anything today except the truth.
If he had manipulated the press they would be showing his ad and talking him up as a great guy. That is not what is happening.
