I saw a thread earlier today that spoke of their anniversary at FR. It reminded me of our first big Freep.
Back in October 1998, JimRob said he was going to Washington and shake his old withered finger at Bill Clinton at the White House fence. In a matter of a few days, we had hundreds of Freepers signing up to join him.
I was there and took pictures. Here is a preview...

We will need to gather together again, this year, to assure that Hillary and her ilk do not gain the White House. Who ever is our nominee, we MUST UNITE with him so that NO CLINTON EVER uses the Oval Office for ANY purpose.

I am not certain, but I probably started the first freepathon ever on that weekend.
In 1998 I was working a free surgery clinic in South America so could only stand by and gander at Free Republic and it’s fine members.

We must PRAY and WORK for this!
I was at the MFJ. I met Matt Drudge and Lucianne Goldberg. I saw the NE crew arrive to much applause! I was in that lobby and met many wonderful Freepers whom I had only known in the online posting world.
I came with two Freepers who came up from Florida, one was Maggie (Lady X) who has since gone to heaven.
We managed to get a front center seat (we brought our chairs of course) and enjoyed every speaker from Bob Barr to Alan Keyes (yes he was there and was tremendous) and Connie Hair’s MC work, and saw Jim Rob lead the Parade of Flags come in. Saw all the imaginative and terrific signs.
It was a cold and windy day and the cspan televised event had problems with the microphones sounding okay in the wind.
( I saw the replay after we returned ).
It was a gathering if I remember of several thousand - but should have been tens of thousands telling the imposters/traitors to get out of the White House!
Should our prayers and work not succeed this year, future protests will be like those in Romania that ousted the Caucesceau’s - should the heinous one seize power and bring her communism into full force in this country!
I will not end this year with that thought.
We shall triumph over that evil in 2008 - with God’s help and prayers prayers prayers - I think fasting and prayer will be a good thing to do this year.Maybe once a week. God hears our prayers but when we fast and pray, somehow God’s great and mighty power can work into a situation seven more directly than otherwise.
They don’t care what we SAY, but their “father” (the father of lies) TREMBLES when we pray!
Let’s pray for the confusion and confounding of the forces of evil at work in this country and around the world this election year. Let’s commit our way to the Lord God, and ask Him to direct our path and the path of this nation!
And, by the way, to all the workers of darkness, the Ancient of Days RULES; His Son, Jesus Christ will soon be coming to REIGN on this earth, but right now He sits at the right hand of His Father and is at work through His Spirit in the affairs of this world and of individual lives in this world!
Satan’s destiny is eternity in the lake of fire. Turn around, towards God, or your destiny will be the same! The power over and malice towards America which you seek to dictate are not worth an eternity of weeping and gnashing your teeth, eternally separated from the Creator of this Universe, His Light, His Love, and His Joy.
