“Looks like early panic mode for the dumRATS and it is only going to get a lot worse for them...”

Nahh.. I got a copy of the RAT playbook. On page 325 it says that when the tide turns against you, take credit for it and use that for your agenda.

Bush said 30k troops will be coming home this summer because of the way the surge has worked. The RATS are going to take credit for it, the MSM will flood the airwaves with it and it is going to start the day Hillary wins the nomination.

And Hillary will kick her movement to the center strategy into high gear.

Something tells me this photo is not the normal situation for the guys kickin’ in doors

I can’t speak to what is going on in areas of Iraq, but having a son in Camp A Price (forward op base in Southern Afghanistan) I can say with certainty it would remind you of some of the places you saw in Vietnam, only colder.
They cooked a goat and sheep for Thanksgiving. He didn’t mention if they had flowers on the table and they never see people like Schumer.

That photo is not from the Embassy DFAC or Deli unless they recently got new chairs.

Yours was the only “let’s wait for what he says and see” statement while everyone else here is in the usual take a prisoner mode.

On the surface at least he showed up. By the way, she looks like she is at least giving him attention to what he is doing/saying.

How many of your governmental “leaders” have done the same by showing up in Iraq?

And no, I am as far from a Dem supporter as can be.

My guess is that Shuckie smellls a liberal win in November and he is getting experienced early on to claim a liberal victory over Iraq. Probably looking for office space in Babylon.

I have followed Schumer’s career from its inception. He is a soulless grasper, a conniving climber, a truly shallow soul. There is nothing he can say, given what he has said and done in the past, that can alter the enormous damage he’s intentionally inflicted on our country. The only thing I can say in his favor is that he is not as profoundly evil as his junior colleague.

Schmuckie's detestable but props to him for making the trip and not making all those other trips at taxpayer expense. Props to him for keeping his mouth shut while overseas, something his Democrat colleagues never mastered.

We'll see what he says when he gets home. He probably suspects we're going to win and wants this trip as an excuse to come up with a new position. His Senate seat is not in any danger. Perhaps he's looking for Harry Reid's job. He can, rightfully, claim that Reid is unfit to lead because he declared the war lost on the eve of victory. Schumer fancies himself an expert on everything so to him it's only natural he should be the Democrat leader on Capitol Hill.

Schumer is a snake in the grass. He’ll get his marching orders from Reid upon his return. He’ll never give Bush or Petraeus a good word.

Expletive deleted!!
And anyone who doesn’t believe in and work for a REPUBLICAN victory next year is as bad, or worse than, Chuckie in my estimation.

“I have learned things I don’t think I would have learned by staying in Washington and reading briefing books,” he said. “You have chance encounters with people.”

Did you learn that the Surge is WORKING?

I agree with your assessment. It’s been about spending priorities all along. The Democrats could care less about our armed forces, and only slightly more about national security.
