Steele does note, accurately enough, that Obama is decidedly not a conviction politician. His supporters do not look to him to do something; they look to him primarily to be something, to represent something. Indeed, Obamas apparently unscotchable appetite for platitude has encouraged a soaring rhetoric that reveals almost nothing about his actual ideas. His voting record is much more consistently left-wing than his NutraSweet slogans of unity would suggest. Woefully inexperienced, Obama is a presidential candidate, Steele suggests, because of his power to enthrall whites. The people who like Obama's NutraSweet platitudes actually love his left-wing voting record. They just don't want to say so publicly, for the same reason Obama doesn't want to talk about it publicly: because they all hope to pull the wool over the eyes of a large enough sector of the voting public to sneak this commie into the WH.
Exactly, and he still won’t admit he is half white and a Muslum.
You may be right. I think Obama is, if possible, even more leftist than Hillary! who has morphed into a sort of politician of opportunity rather than a pure leftist.
I actually have some positive feelings for Obama, because he is not an idiot, appears to be a man of conviction, and is probably not driven by resentment as Hillary!, Gore, and pretty much every other Democrat is.
Exactly!
Bears repeating.
