Pollster Scott Rasmussen says anyone who wants an indication of who will win the Iowa caucuses should not look to opinion surveys but to "futures markets," which predict victories for Republican Gov. Mike Huckabee and Democratic Sen. Barack Obama.
"Polls are not going to tell us who is going to win in Iowa," Rasmussen told WND in an exclusive interview.
"Now it's down to turnout, and polls in Iowa are not good at predicting who is going to show up for the caucus meetings," he said.
Rasmussen suggested looking to political futures markets in which candidates are "bought and sold" much like commodities or stock futures.
The futures contracts give Obama and Huckabee a 60 percent likelihood of winning.

He’s a Democrat, and not Hillary. Plus he’s black, so that helps with the white guilt thing.

Can someone please explain Barrack Hussein Osamas appeal to the American voter? At a guess, he is not Edwards or Clinton. If elected, he would probably be a one term ineffective oddity, and the lesser of evils.

And just who in the world set these pollster clowns up as the purveyors of who wins and loses elections?? The activist media. I am so sick and tied of these pollsters. Every day they poll, and every one of them is different. And at the end, they say "We don't what will happen, it's up to turnout...blah, blah, blah..." GAWD!!! They act as if they know everything. They know NOTHING. UGH!!
Pollsters are a bunch of parasites.

Well, I don't know 'bout the rest of y'all, but I just can't wait for a good Huckabee/Obama matchup! The debates should be absolutely scintillating!!
If you're searching furiously for a < /sarcasm> tag, you have bigger problems than who becomes our next POTUS.

Mike Huckabee and Democratic Sen. Barack Obama. "Polls are not going to tell us who is going to win in Iowa," Rasmussen told WND in an exclusive interview. Futures markets are simply reflecting the latest polls.
Latest polls show Huckabee and Obama leading. Futures show Huckabee and Obama leading. But I'm sure that's a coincidence.
Can they really be called "futures" markets when they only reflect conventional wisdom and public information from days and weeks beforehand?

Telegenic with oratory skills. Other than that 'hope' and empty platitudes.

They are not reflecting the latest polls. This is from the Iowa Electronic Markets. This is national, not just Iowa.

If Scott truly believed that crap he would shut down Rasmussen Reports and open a futures trading company. He is just covering his bases because Iowa cannot be polled like other elections due to their antique process.

They are not reflecting the latest polls. How is saying the same thing as the latest polls, AFTER the latest polls, not "reflecting the latest polls"?
90% of the people promoting these silly markets have no idea what they're talking about.
