"Having a young one in college, it’s my understanding that “Facebook” is all the rage, for now."

Yep. It's the same thing as myspace. It's a sounding board- hang out board for young, not too bright twirps. It's also lucrative hunting grounds for identity thieves originating from turd world countries who manage to steal these identities and use the info to bilk credit card companies out of billion$$ every year.

One of the 20-something shmucks in my office said that everyone on Myspace has the hots for Obama Bin Liberal. I don’t know, nor care, if that’s true.

I plan on keeping this kid from the polls in November by distracting him with a case of beer.

"According to the lawn signs in my neighborhood, they are the same “republicans” who had Kerry signs in 2004 and who have had No War signs since 2001."

Precisely. And media loves it. I wonder what excuses they are going to come up with when their "polls" turn out to be so wrong after the elections are over? Or maybe they are hoping the RATS will be able to get their mass voting fraud right this time.

I guess when you’re stoned, you don’t get up early to vote (”early” being before 8 pm).

Myspace = idiots.

Funny, I thought "Myspace" referred to what's between their ears.

Let’s hope there is NEVER on-line voting for any public office.

Boulder Weekly: Many of your supporters are of the young Internet generation. How do you think this happened and what are you expecting from them as the primaries and election get closer?

Ron Paul: What we're expecting is that they'll all get registered and vote! Then we're gonna change the rules and have voting only on the Internet, then we're gonna win! It's pretty amazing, some people think we started off with a plan.

Yep, as many of us suspected, Obama and Ron Paul have the juvenile vote locked up.....(chuckle)

Along with the occasional 260 pound pedophile vote.

“Your are right! 13 year old girls can’t vote, but usually listen to what their parents would vote for - discussion on the dinner table.”

They like listen to like their friends at like school and like do what’s like cool. They like don’t like listen to their like parents. :)

The rest of the article says:

“We always had the intention and knew that the Internet would be a good source for support, we could get some attention and maybe even raise some money. It didn’t come about the way we thought it might, it came about that people heard the message and read about it almost faster than we could put it out, and they loved it and started organizing. We have the Meetup groups and Facebook and all these people started getting together and talking about it. It struck a chord with so many young people, so they more or less created the campaign. There are so many independent groups making signs and putting up billboards and starting the “Ron Paul Revolution.” It was spontaneous. It didn’t come from the campaign, but of course, we were quite willing to tap into it and communicate with them and it turned out to be a great fundraiser. People thought young people weren’t going to donate, but college students started to donate. One college group just went around to other colleges and raised almost $100,000. It is pretty amazing, and the question always is “Why?”...”

Don’t take it out of context. RP doesn’t think that there will be actual voting on the internet. What he is saying is that he can get more visibility on the internet and then people can vote be donating money to the candidate that is more to there views. If anything, he would like paper not internet for people to actually vote - so there would be a record.

Having had a myspace once (it gets pretty boring after the first couple months), and being on Facebook, I’m not surprised. The younger internet group seems to like Obama, either because he’s the youngest candidate and the closest they have to someone ‘cool’ running for office, and Paul because they think that since he’s a member of the Libertarian party he’s the most likely to legalise mairjuana, plus he’s different from all the other candidates. So what they seem to place importance on is 1) some semblance of coolness/differentness/unnormalness and 2) legalising drugs. Thank goodness most of these people aren’t going to be choosing the next leader of our country based on these criteria.
